He sits on the edge of the dock, staring out over the water. The ocean sloshes up to hit the bottom of his boots. The brunet doesn't notice, far too preoccupied inside his own head - as usual. His fingers clench into fists as he tries to not think about her. Everyone thought he'd be with Rinoa, she's his opposite after all. But when he extended a hand to a certain silent female, she wasn't the only one that was surprised. But after all these months and then suddenly...

"You don't know me."

That's what she had said to him, it's what keeps him frustrated. Even more so when that's always his line. He's left staring at the ocean with confusion consuming him. He'll admit they haven't talked much; although he'll say that it's her fault with her short phrases or stated words. All the same he knows he's in love. The one strange feeling his so-called father had mentioned.

He sighs, "Or I'm turning out to be a moron just like him."

"No."

Slowly, he turns around to see her standing behind him. Unlike usual, she almost seems fragile; idling there in a deep blue, long-sleeved dress. She wears a pair of heels the same color as her dress, her pale skin complimented nicely. The only thing that proves she's still herself is the eyepatch covering her left eye. Short silver hair crosses over that same eye, leaving the other crimson eye to gaze at him. Compared to her, he feels rather out done in his plain attire; black pants, boots and jacket trimmed in white fur. His pendant rests over his white shirt, suddenly weighing a ton.

"Fuu?"

She merely stares down at him until he stands up. Once he has, Fuu glances to the side. "Sorry."

Squall reaches out and gingerly lifts her chin so that their eyes lock. Leaning forward he brushes his lips against hers; not quite a kiss, but something meaning much more. "I'm sorry too." is all he says before kissing her; something soft and gentle despite the need and want that's there as well.

Her small hands press against his chest just as they part. Bright red dusts over her cheeks and nose, putting her emotions on display. The glare that she gives obviously tells him not to do that again in public or she'd shove him off the dock. Only able to give a tiny smile, he twines their fingers together as she leads them back into the city to finish their date."
