Hey. This is my first story, so please be kind. Reviews and constructive critisism is welcomed.
Synopsis: Hermione agrees to answer all of Arthur's questions about Muggles, but does not realise exactly what she has got herself into.
Chapter One- Promises.
It was a busy day at The Burrow, but then, when wasn't it? It was 2001, about three years after the final battle, and Hermione and Ron had just got engaged. At that moment, Hermione was lying on the lawn in the rare sunshine, trying to read an old favourite of hers- "To Kill A Mockingbird."
Her reading was interrupted when Arthur sat down beside her, clutching a battered, leather-bound book and looking very excited indeed.
"Hermione? Can I ask you something, please?" Arthur smiled hopefully, and Hermione knew that she couldn't refuse. After all, he was allowing them to get married at The Burrow, and Hermione had a bit of a soft spot for both Arthur and his muggle obsession.
"Of course, Arthur" Hermione used her wand to mark the page in her book, and sat up so that she could see Arthur better.
"Well, you see, dear…its rather embarrassing. I have this book…" At that, he gestured to the book in his hand. "I write down all the things I want to know about muggles. It's my aim to answer all the questions, and I'm getting a bit older now, so I want to get it done." He rubbed his hand across his balding head and smiled ruefully.
"Can you answer some of my questions?"
So, first chapter done! I know it isn't long, Its basically just an introduction to the story.
