AN: So this again is apart of my personal writing challenge!

Topic: Family
I used to wonder what my life would be like if I had stayed with temple service. If my boy's father had never come. If I had followed the rules. Life would surely be different. I might still have and know my family. Might never have gone hungry. Might never have had to pick up my son at the cages. But I also wouldn't have so many wonderful memories of my lad. His first word. His first steps. The first time I healed him a broken nose, and all the other times too. The day he was crowned King of Thieves. I'll never tell him this, but that had been the proudest day of my life, thus far. Then he met her, and the fierce trust and even love at his age scared me. It scared me to think, she a noble and he a commoner. And her romance with the prince rose. But in the end it was my lad she chose. My lad she went and turned respectable. My lad I saw her walking down the aisle toward. My lad she accused of matchmaking Myles and I , which I don't doubt or care in the least. My lad she has a family with. People say there are two kinds of family. Family of blood and family of heart. Well the part of family of blood that I used to regret has brought on a family of heart that outshines and outweighs any other family I could ever have.
