~ In The Face of Darkness ~

I was standing alone. I don't know where, but it looked like some kind of dark alleyway. When I heard something, I turned around, and everything went black. All I could do was think... and think... and think... It was as if I was blind, and paralyzed. Where am I? Am I dead? Questions like this, and more, ran through my head. Then it hit me. I don't even remember my own name, let alone who my parents were. I saw a light, but I soon realized that it was radiating off of someone.

"Who are you?" I asked, but no reply came. I waited for what seemed like hours before I asked for the second time.

"What's your name?" I tried rephrasing the question. Still no reply.

Another person stepped into the light. Although I could only see their silhouettes, I could see that the newcomer had spiky hair, unlike the other, who's hair looked like silk.

"She isn't ready yet. Let's go." The second guy said, in a semi-sweet voice.

"But I think..."

"No." The reply came a lot sharper than before. "Let's go."

"I guess we can wait."

I woke up in a hospital bed. An IV was hooked up to my arm, and I could hear the continuous beeping of a heart monitor. But above all, staring down at me, was a strange and familiar face.

"Riku." I said, as if I had known him for my whole life. "I missed you."
