I'll Protect You!
This is my first story! Karin is the main character and you may see her saying 'younger sibling' throughout the story, well that's because in this story, I decided for Karin to be 11 and for Yuzu to be 10, so, please don't say anything bad about that, like 'your not supposed to that'. Because I'm new to fanfiction and I really don't know how to write stories since I never wrote one, but anyway. Here's the story! Oh and it first starts by Karin's POV.
Pant, pant, pant. I was running with all my strength when something stopped me in my tracks, I stared in horror, I couldn't believe my eyes.
There she was... Yuzu, was being held hostage by a hollow.
"Yuzu!" I screamed and tears ran down my cheeks, I cried and cried, I just couldn't stop myself, I wanted to end this madness, but my feet were stuck to the ground, I couldn't move nor jump up to save my sister, one of the people I loved most.
"Ka-Karin..." Yuzu said faintly, the Hollow squeazing her neck tightly causing her voice to crack.
I held my hands together tightly and prayed that the chaos would stop, but it seemed like it would go on forever and never stop.
It was just me, no dad, no Ichigo and no Rukia, they were at home. Me and Yuzu had went to the park for a little walk, I never knew it would end up this way.
I tried my best to move when to my surprise, I jumped up and reached Yuzu's hand, I held on tight and gave it a firm grip.
"Yuzu, hold on!" I screamed, my tears had dried up on my cheeks and I felt warm all over, Yuzu closed her eyes and opened them when she heard my cracking voice, she cried even more to see me. I could tell her heart was broken by seeing her big sister, me, trying to save her. I was risking my life and I knew she was sad about that, I knew she wanted me to stop, but I couldn't care less, I wanted to save Yuzu even if I had to put my life on the line.
"K-Karin watch out!" Yuzu screamed, it was the highest she could scream, and believe me, it was very loud, I had a confused look on my face, confused about what she meant. But when 'it' happened, I knew what she meant.
"Wh-What?" I silently whispered, as for some sudden reason it felt like I was losing my voice. But then it happened, it was the worst moment of my life, I had never been so scared.
"Kyam!" the Hollow screamed and with one of it's sharp claws, it suddenly dropped Yuzu to the ground and held me tightly by my neck, strangling me, I was crying. He put he's sharp claws on my stomach, while he was chuckling, he stabbed me with he's sharp claws and that's when Yuzu burst in tears and ran out of the park, pleading for this chaos to end and me to just hang on and be alive.
But no matter what she did, her pleading would never be listened to, it was ignored.
I fell to the ground and blood spat out of my mouth, that was the end... The end of me.. Kurosaki Karin...
"Ah!" I screamed, jumping out of my bed, looking around my room and I sat back down, "It was a nightmare, Karin, a stupid dumb nightmare!" I told myself.
My scream was loud enough to be heard from downstairs, Yuzu came running up.
"Karin Chan! Are you okay? What happened?" She sat down beside me, with a worried look on her face.
"I'm okay, it was a nightmare.." I sighed and looked at her, a part of me wanted to tell her everything about the nightmare and another part didn't. I didn't know which to listen to.
"Ok, breakfast is ready, and Karin, Ichigo and dad are gone out somewhere, so can we go park after we finished breakfast?" Yuzu asked, I looked at her in horror.
Oh god, why, why! Out of all the places she could have chose, she chose the park, the exact same place where the incident in my dream occurred. I thought to myself and looked her in the eye, I took a deep breath until I thought of something to say.
"Yeah, sure Yuzu, anything for my..." I stopped and gulped, remembering my dream, "My little sister.." I ended.
"Are you okay, Karin?" Yuzu took back that worried look on her face and I heavily sighed again.
"Yuzu, believe me please, I'm fine alright?" I looked at her, got off my bed and hugged her, and without another single word I went downstairs to eat my breakfast, leaving a worried Yuzu behind me.
Yuzu's POV
Wow, she really is acting strange... Wonder what's up with her. Normally Karin is always cheerful in the mornings, well, I'm not including this morning for sure! I thought to myself, I quickly ran downstairs, following Karin's speed.
"Karin!" I gulped when I saw she was already finished her breakfast, she was staring blankly at me.
"Yes?" She asked, worriedly, thinking something was wrong.
"W-What do you mean 'yes?'! What are you doing! You've finished all your breakfast already! You've only been down here for on-" I screamed but something stopped me.
The glasses on the kitchen table were wobbling and the table was moving, I heard footsteps and I looked at Karin.
"Karin Chan... What's happening?" I asked, I was so scared, of course I couldn't see ghosts like Karin or Ichigo, but I could only hear them, so I was sure it was a ghost, "Is it... Is it a ghost?"
"Yuzu..." Karin looked at me and I looked back, her face was red with anger, her hands were curled up into fists, it looked like she was about to go to a karate class, I wasn't expecting what happened next, "Yuzu Chan! Move!" Karin stared in horror at me and didn't move an inch, I wondered what she meant, I was about to ask when something stopped me.
"Gakku!" something screamed in my ear, I didn't know what it was, but I was certain that Karin did.
Something squeezed my neck tight and then before I knew it I was thrown out of the window.
Before I did anything, I ran away from the house, tears ran down my cheeks, I held my hands together and prayed Karin would be alright.
Karin's POV
I gulped and bit my bottom lip, staring at the hollow. My heart ached and nearly got ripped while I saw Yuzu, my little sister, being tossed around and played with.
"S-Stay away from me! From my sister, my family!" I screamed, remembering my dream, I wondered. I wondered if it were a real dream, it felt so damn certainly real.
"Hu aba kumola!" the hollow screamed again and reached he's hand out to grab me. Part of me wanted to burst in tears like a crybaby and the other part was begging to be brave and stand up for my family.
The hollow was about to drop me in to his mouth when something slashed him in the head, the hollow dropped me and it split in half, I looked ahead of me and Ichigo was standing there, I could tell by he's orange ginger hair, I was so happy.
"Ichigo!" I screamed and jumped into he's arms, although it hurt since the hollow cut my arm.
"Karin, I'm sorry I'm late, wheres Yuzu?" he asked worriedly and looked around, then back at me, I bit my lip, not wanting him to get mad.
"Um... Outsi-" I froze when someone walked into the house.
"H-Here..." the young girl spoke, I gasped in horror when I realized who it was. Yuzu. Yuzu was bleeding and she was a wreck, "Don't worry, I'm okay, it doesn't hurt." "Good! If it hurts tell me or Karin!" Ichigo hugged he's little sister, Yuzu and then me again.
We had to call some builders to fix the roofs and walls of our house, they arrived in 1 hour after we called them, but they fixed it. Although it was a pain to dad when he had to pay $1,000 to the men, because it was a lot of damage and did take loads of hours. After they had gone dad had gone to the toilet and I could hear him crying and mumbling 'what a waste of money' I started groaning, getting a headache of he's mumbling getting louder and louder, Ichigo went to calm him down with Yuzu, and then it was bedtime...
I lay in bed, my fist clutched to the blankets, I thought about tommorow, what was it going to be like?
Yaay! I'm so happy that it's done! I spent so many days thinking of ideas for this story, I hope it's a good chapter and you'll enjoy it!
