Clare was pedaling as fast as she could; all she wanted was to go to Eli's more than anything. Her mom had told she regretted being careful. All Clare could concentrate on was getting to his house. When she arrived she set her bike carefully on the ground and knocked on the door. She was hoping Eli would answer. When he did she said was "Eli I want to spend the night." Eli looked at her with a funny look then said "What , Clare . . . No, I'll take you home." Clare just shook her head back and forth and got on her bike running back toward her house.
