The Saiyan of Notre Dame

Disclaimer: I own Nothing

A/N: Okay this not directly a crossover with the Disney version of Hunchback or the original novel it's more my one version with the general concept. The pairing will be VegetaXBulma for now and I'll see what else falls into place.

Prologue: The Monster and the man

The night is cold and silent, so much so that is chilling, an unnerving feeling going up the gypsy spines. The group of three nears the river that runs through the city, incased by stone. A man with haggard and icy there is no sympathy for the poor group in his eyes.

"Twenty for each," the man barks. The largest of the gypsy steps forward. He is tall man, broad as a horse. His hair is spiked high and small beard overs his face. The only thing that takes away the intimation rolling off the man is the small bundle in his arms.

"We were promised ten," the man growls.

"These shores are dangerous at night," the man says. "A little extra for your protection." Before the gypsy leader can tell the man tell the man he doesn't need protection a voice shrieks.

"Its lord Frieza and his men," a shriek sounds through the silence and stillness of the night. The gypsy leader doesn't look back before he runs, clutching the bundle to his thick chest. He runs through the streets, snow flying up behind his heals. His legs ache and building loom over him but the sound of horse hooves pounding behind him keeps him moving.

The man cuts down a small ally that he knows a horse cannot follow. Pushing though the crammed space he is freed and stands before Norte Dame. Thanking whatever god there may be as he pounds on the door.

"Sanctuary," the man screams. "Give us sanctuary damn it!" but it to late Lord Frieza is upon him. The man makes a move to run but lord Frieza grabs at the bundle. The gypsy cries out in rage and moves to strike the lord who claims a holy name but instead startles his horse. The creature rears and it's hooves collides with the gypsy head cracking his skull. The man falls back his grip on the bundle loosens. The gypsy's blood seeps into the snow staining it crimson. Frieza smirks down until the bundle now in his hand starts to cry.

"A baby," Frieza says he pulls back the cloth and is met with shock. "No a monster." Frieza looks around and sees a well only feet from him. The lord dismounts his horse and walks to the well but not before a voice calls out in protest.

"Frieza," the monk Krillin calls out in accusation. "What have you done? You have spilled innocent blood on holy ground."

"He was a criminal," Frieza defends.

"You may be able to lie to me," Krillin shouts. "But you cannot lie to the eyes that watch this place! The eyes of GOD!

"I did what I must," But Frieza's voice is unsure.

"You have sinned," Krillin barks. "and you are about to do so again."

"NO," Frieza cries out. "How may I repent?!"

"Raise the boy as your own," Krillin says. "and teach him the ways of goodness an righteousness."

"So be it," Frieza says. "But let him live here, far from sight. The bell tower perhaps." Krillin takes the child from Frieza's arms and walks back into the Sanctuary of Notre Dame.

Who is the monster and who is the man?
