Chapter 1
Introduction
I'm on the sofa. Reading some book my dad left me before he sent me to come and live with his good friend Donald Davenport. The door went open and I turned my head to investigate. "Welcome to your new home Mrs. Davenport." Mr. Davenport said, carrying a dark skinned woman. "Why thank you Mr. Davenport." She said looking at Mr. Davenport, "Absolutely Mrs. Davenport." Then the two of them kissed. "We get it, you got married. It's old." Leo, Mrs. Davenport's son said, "Tasha, Leo, this is Brook, my friend's daughter I'm looking after while he's… on 'vacation'." Mr. Davenport said but my dad is in prison for something illegal. I nod m head then went to the fridge to get myself a soda. When I turned around I saw Leo walking to Mr. Davenport's 3D TV. Mr. Davenport stopped him and turned it on then Leo tried to catch the baseball that was flying towards him but he hit the wall and awoke Eddy. Eddy is Mr. Davenport's smart home security system. He doesn't like the whole marriage thing so he made friends with me because I'm 'evil'. "If you see a room with lots of video games and action figures and a huge TV, keep on walking that's mine." I shook my head a followed Leo.
We walk down the hall then Leo stopped and said, "This house is huge, I'm gonna need a GPS just to find the bathroom." Then he lay back on a keypad. The open wall across from us became a steel door that opened. Leo went in in first saying, "Hello?" When he was in and I wanted to step in, the door closed. I heard him scream. "Leo, I'm just gonna…" Then I walked to the living room. It was empty at firs but Mr. Davenport walked in with Mrs. Davenport, "Hey Mr. Davenport, where does the elevator go in the hallway?" He looked shocked at my question. "Leo went in but when I wanted to get in the doors closed." Then his eyes went big and he walked to the elevator with me and Tasha after him.
