Note—this fits in right after part one. I'm not very good with chapters so bear with me.
"Finally I can get something DONE now that that blasted THREE-YEAR-OLD is off my back. If he acted like that during the creation of the world I'm surprised ANYTHING got done." The Author pauses in her rampage to realize that Aragorn the man/elf, the female elf and the other dwarf are completely confused, Aragorn is getting jumpy and wants to leave, and that Legolas and Gimli are quivering with suppressed laughter.
"Now, introductions: The dragon is Saphira, the female elf Arya (hey that rhymes! Ok, ok, I'll get on with it), the rider ERAGON not ARAGORN, and the other dwarf Orik. The people on the ground are Aragorn the-man-destined-to-be-king-and-have-too-many-names, the dwarf Gimli and the elf Legolas."
Everyone smiles and bows and say things in the ancient language that are respectful in Du Weldenvarden but completely incomprehensible in Middle-Earth.
It is good to meet all of you. Due to the fact that Aragorn has been bouncing around for the last ten minutes, can I assume that you were doing something time-critical before we arrived?
Aragorn looks completely confused and suddenly realizing that he has been bouncing up and down and fingering Anduril's hilt. Then he realizes that the voice spoke inside his head, and immediately assumes it is Galadriel.
"Galadriel get your bloody mind-reading skilz OUT OF MY BRAIN NOW!!! I don't care whether you are going to be my grandmother or NOT in three months."
"Um, excuse me, but that was---" Eragon began before Aragorn started yelling again.
"I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE THE DAUGHTER OF FINARFIN OR NOT, NOR THAT YOU ARE THE OLDEST ELF NOW LIVING IN MIDDLE-EARTH!!! GET YOUR MIND-READING SKILZ OUT OF MY BRAIN AND LET US GO RESCUE THE HOBBITS!!!!!!"
"I'm afraid this is going to be a LOOOOOOOOONG day, even by elvin standards." Spoke a musical voice.
