A DAY AT THE BEACH
Imagine the beach during a storm. The wind throwing rocks into the air, the flashes of lightning that look like they can light the city of Vegas, and the rain that just aids the waves to make them bigger as they crash into the rocky shores…but that's another story. This story is set on a nice sunny day on Kauai over on the east shore. After surfing on Poipu beach for about 2 hours, finally Tobi and Hinata paddled to shore and started to head home. As they were walking through the tree tunnel, Hinata asked Tobi if he wanted to go surfing after school tomorrow. There was silence: Hinata then noticed that Tobi was lost in his thoughts. Hinata then gently tapped him on the head with the tip of her surfboard, and in a instant he snapped out of his trance. Hinata then asked Tobi what was wrong. He answered, "Remember what happened 5 years ago back at Salt Pond beach?" Hinata just nodded as she stood there as still as a log( flashback 5 years).
Hey Tobi want to go to the tidal pools to pick some Opihi said Hinata, suddenly Tobi jumped out of his sand fort that was specifically made to keep her out and towards Hinata. Tobi was walking about 3 feet away from shore in the water while Hinata was walking on the sand. As they made the turn to go up the other side of the beach, Tobi suddenly fell down a hidden sand slope and into the raging current. Hinata hadn't noticed until she heard Tobi's cry for help. She then leaped into the water to try and rescue Tobi. While Hinata was inching closer, Tobi was dragged under by the current and almost knocked into the jagged rocks that held dangerous hidden creatures such as poisonous Vana and venomous Eels and worst of all, Tobi couldn't swim. Tobi frantically tried to dog paddle to the surface, but was always being dragged down.
As Tobi Flailed around the water he was scraped by the jagged rocks and made and got a big gash in his arm. This made Tobi scream but as he did he lost his breath and slowly started to black out. But as he closed his eyes, a dark figure appeared and pulled him to the surface, Tobi gasped for air but then passed out. As Hinata inched closer to the shore, Tobi woke up and started to flail around like a fish in a net, but was calmed down by Hinata who just put her hand over his eyes like they do with animals to calm them down. As they finally reached shore, Hinata and Tobi beached themselves as far as they could away from the water, but as they caught their breath, they saw a dark fin with a white tip traveling effortlessly right past where they were and up the current. a sudden shock wave of fear coursed through there body and sent a shiver up there spines, Tobi was the first to break the silence, in a horror filled tone he said "ok lets agree to never say anything to mom and da…"Hinata's trance was broken by a sudden tap on the head that came from Tobi's surfboard. "Hey, why did you do that" was the answer that came out as she rubbed her head. "See how it feels to be broken out of your thoughts" was the answer. "Whatever. Let's go home", Hinata said as she walked on, they both agreed to never remind each other of that event ever again
