A Midnight Ride
A young woman in her mid twenties with brownish gold hair that was frizzy and chocolate brown eyes. Dressed in a red pants and shirt that was trimmed in gold. She was hold a baby girl. Soft black hair very thin but it was usual for a baby who was a month old. The young Snape has her mother's nose and her father's eyes. Trying to the baby asleep so they can get to sleep but it was not working. Humming every tune she knew for a lullaby but that wasn't working either. A man with greasy black shoulder lengthen hair and black eyes came up to her. He still dressed in he's black outfit.
" she wont go to sleep" Hermione said in a tired tone. Wishing that the young one would fall asleep but knowing that wouldn't happen.
"maybe she need a little fresh air" she nodded in agreement. They walk out side of the school and he grabbed his broom. He position himself on the broom the let his wife get comfortable. Which was hard since she hates flying. Finally find a position she held on to the baby. Severus wrapped his arm around her waist and he grabbed a hold of the broom.
Taking off they fumbled but he regain control. In the matter of minutes baby Aurora fell asleep. He kept flying. Remembering the feeling of the wind, the wonders of height and gravity. Looking down to see his daughter to be asleep. Snuggled against her mother.
Hermione felt a chill run down her spin but the warmth of the two bodies warmed her. She look down at her beautiful child then to her husband. They were together for 4 years. She teaching Defense against the dark arts and He still the potions master. Severus felt his wife drift to sleep.
"were almost home." They landed soundlessly on the ground. Hermione and her husband got off the broom. He led her back to their chambers. Putting Aurora into her cradle. They watched her. The room was odd colored for it was mixed with the Slytherin's color and Gryffindor's colors. The crib was a cherry red with green and red. On the crib it had word 'our little Gryffindor/Slytherin child.' He wrapped his arm around his wife.
Putting her head in the curve of is neck she fell asleep. Severus picked her up and carried her to the kind size bed. Putting her on the folded down covers. He tucked her in. Sighing softly he changed into green silk pajamas with white trimming. Getting into bed he fell asleep. Strange how two different people end up loving each other.
