Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Ben's Note of Sheer Awesome: Yeah, so here's another ship I'm going to try. I'm not one for writing book ships or TV ships. Cartoons are my realm. But, with these next bout of one-shots, they'll be ones I might botch. But hey, could be worse.
This one is Will/Alyss. It's one of the few book ships I don't find annoying after a while. It's not my first choice, since the time period isn't what I'm used to, but I'll live with it. Since I haven't read all the books, and I don't know all the juicy ship parts, I'm just going to go for some time after the scene near the end of the first book. Before the second, after the first. It won't be like my other one-shots where we get a couple together moment. Sorry, but I just can't work it right.
Number time. This number was selected by a friend of mine who wanted to see if he could stump me. Well, he might actually get me. This number is number 430: Energetic. Yeah… wish me luck…
Will never knew Alyss to be rash and energetic.
It had been two months since his last assignment and a little while longer since he last saw Alyss. He had known her since he was little, and he knew her like a sister. But as they grew, so did the feelings between them.
The last time they saw each other, Alyss had kissed him. Full on lips. She wasn't one to just rush into something. Will had not even suspected any such event happening without fair wanring. This was Alyss, after all. She tended to take things slow.
That kiss was fast.
He sighed, leaning against the place he lived. I don't get women, he said. One moment, they are the most lady like as possible. The next, boom. They do energetic things like kissing you. Where do they even find that random energy?
"Something on your mind?" Halt asked, passing by.
"Yeah… I don't get women," Will muttered.
Halt chuckled and continued moving on. "Neither do I… and I am far older than you," he said and left. Will shook his head with a depressed sigh.
Thing was, while he didn't necessarily understand Alyss, he knew that she had expressed something he had felt deep inside himself. He didn't think about loving Alyss the way he did. But after her one energetic moment of randomness, he realized how much he deeply cared for the girl. Maybe not enough to act out of character, but enough to realize he wanted to be with her.
Perhaps I should ask her a bit more when I see her next, he thought to himself. All this thinking about women is getting me nowhere. Best to let it rest until it eventually comes back up again.
And with that, Will went to attend his chores.
Women don't always act the way we may think they will. Sometimes, they have these energetic moments that confuse and stun us. But unlike Will, we shouldn't put it to rest and wait for something to happen. We should join in with the girls, and act just as energetic. Because you never know how much they truly love you unless you join them.
BN: *throws all the books at his friend* Fine! You beat me! You gave me a ship and number that was ridiculously hard to combine! Be proud of yourself! I really think this is my worst one-shot to date. Honestly, I think it was my ship and number. And I haven't read the whole series. But, I gave it my best shot, so there you go. I hope you guys are happy.
Like? Hate? Meh? Tell me about it in a review! Or don't! Either works!
