So here's the sequel to my last story 'When hunters become the prey' which I recommend you read before reading this to get caught up and understand what's going on
For those who read it already this takes place a full month after the ending of my last story
So Sugar Rush is getting a big update with 2 new tracks and a new character
Who's side will this character take?
And I own NOTHING but the plot
And Herschel Nougatson belongs to Captain Alaska and you need HIS permission to use him.
So I guess that takes care of everything now to jump into this.
Ch.1 A new update a new racer
(As mentioned above a month after the events of my last story)
Torvald would sit down after a long day of racing and write in her journal.
"It's been a month…..a month since Candlehead and Gloyd were in the game…..in GCS they only make their presence known to those they trust…..that being me, Minty, Sticky and Crumbelina…..Vanellope is ruling with an iron grip…..the citizens obey her…..she has Adorabeezle, Jubileena, Nougetsia, Citrusella and Snowanna as her personal enforcers…she and Rancis are a couple i.e she has him on a leash…..then Swizzle…he's taken her side…..on the track they've made that painfully clear….sure we get on the roster….but if the player doesn't choose us they go right for us….I haven't seen Taffyta except the rare times I'm in the castle…..she seems like a shadow of her former self…..and it hurts…..it just really hurts…."
She'd close her journal with a sigh as Crumbelina would come running over.
"Torvald we got a problem….a really big fucking problem." She'd rest against a tree catching her breathe.
Torvald would stand up. "What is it?"
"I heard in GCS that we're having a big update tonight before Litwak goes a week long vacation…..we'll be getting 2 new tracks and a new racer…..that means Gloyd and Candlehead have to come back…."
Torvald would look around. "Does Vanellope know?"
Crumbelina would shake her head. "She'll find out when Snowanna comes back from her sweep in GCS…."
"Ok….we need to warn Gloyd and Candlehead….because the Oreo Guards are no longer guarding the entrance in GCS….but when she finds out….she'll send all of them…." Torvald would get on her phone.
"What are you doing?" Crumbelina would look around making sure no one is eavesdropping.
"Texting Minty, Sticky, Gloyd and Candlehead telling them to meet us outside of the game…..we have to get them in before Vanellope finds out…."
"Ok….let's go…." They'd both jump in their karts and leave closely followed by Sticky and Minty.
(Meanwhile)
Gloyd and Candlehead would lean against the wall next to the entrance of Sugar Rush.
"Wonder why they wanted to talk here….it's kinda of risky…." Candlehead would look around knowing full well Snowanna is out there somewhere.
"I don't know why Candlehead….but it must be important if they wanted to meet here…." Gloyd would look around aswell as they'd wait.
(2 minutes later)
Torvald, Minty, Sticky and Crumbelina would arrive and get out of there karts.
"Sorry to put you guys in a risky spot but we needed to talk…."
"Ok…..but lean on the wall beside us…to atleast make it look like your talking to other characters from the game…" Gloyd would glance as they'd lean beside them.
"So what's the problem?" Candlehead would look around.
"We have a big update tonight before Litwak goes on vacation….we'll be getting a new racer and 2 new tracks….and as you both know 2 both will have to be in the game…." Torvald would glance at them.
"Ok…does Vanellope know yet?" Gloyd would breathe a sigh of relief when they shake their heads.
"Only when Snowanna returns and tell her….." Crumbelina would look out for her.
"Ok…..how about you guys return and make sure the coast is clear….then we'll just simply walk in and hide and wait for the update?" Gloyd would look at them.
"Sure…..we should do that now….Snowanna is probably on her way back…" Sticky would jump in her kart and the rest would do the same.
"We'll text you in a few minutes…." Minty would speed off as the others follow.
"What if this new character takes Vanellope's side?" then they'd be surely fucked….." Gloyd would cross his arms.
"Well Gloyd…we just got a hope they have common sense and listen to Torvald…."
(A few minutes later)
Torvald would text them saying the coast is clear.
"Just in the nick of time I see Snowanna coming…." Candlehead would spot her about 20 feet away.
"Well we better start running cause she's gonna warn Vanellope….." Gloyd would run followed by Candlehead as Snowanna would open her phone and call Vanellope.
"Gloyd and Candlehead just ran into Sugar Rush….."
"Why are they risking it?" Vanellope would be confused.
"We're having an update tonight…..in less than an hour actually…..it'll include a new racer and 2 new tracks…." Snowanna would begin walking through the entrance.
"Ok…..thanks…..now get back here quick…." Vanellope would send her guards to the Rainbow Bridge.
"Don't worry Princess…..I was already on it…." Snowanna would hang up and would follow Gloyd and Candlehead
(A few minutes later)
Gloyd and Candlehead would make it into the game and would see Adorabeezle, Jubileena, Nougetsia, Citrusella and several Oreo Guards coming up to them.
"Guess Snowanna saw us…." Gloyd would turn around and see Snowanna walk up to them.
"Indeed I did…" She'd chuckle as they'd corner surround Gloyd and Candlehead on all 3 sides with their backs to a rather long fall down to Candy Cane Forest.
Candlehead would gulp seeing the look on Jubileena's face. "Gloyd….I think they're mad…."
Gloyd would look around then at the trees below them. "Meh I've survived higher falls…." He'd jump.
"If you say so…." Candlehead would let herself fall backward as everyone would be in silent shock.
"Grab a branch!" Gloyd would yell as they'd fall rapidly.
Candlehead would grab 2 branches while Gloyd would grab a double strip and for a brief moment would stop his fall before he'd face plant into the ground.
"You ok Gloyd?" Candlehead would jump down as Gloyd would lift his head up.
"I really hate double stripped branches…" He'd look up to see everyone racing down the bridge. "Common….we don't have much time before they arrive…"
He'd get up and walk towards a hatch. "Hopefully they don't bother to check the tunnels before the update…."
Candlehead would nod when he'd step on a bear trap. "Ah son of a bitch! Not again!" He'd open the hatch.
Candlehead would face palm. "Every time..."
"Common help me in…then we can deal with this…"
She'd drag him into the tunnel and close the hatch. "Seriously how many times are you gonna get caught in those?" She'd help him take it off.
"Not funny Candles…." They'd take off their disguises.
"Why do we wear those disguises over our clothes?" Candlehead would toss them to the side.
"Because where are we supposed to hide them? If any game was caught with that kinda of evidence….they'd be in big trouble…trouble I don't want to give them…" Gloyd would put his hat on and Candlehead would light the candle on hers before putting it on.
The hatch would suddenly start being pried open by several spears.
"Looks like they found the hatch…." Candlehead would look up nervously.
"Ok then…..nice night for a run….." Gloyd would take off Candlehead quickly following as Adorabeezle and Jubileena would jump down.
"So Nougetsia and Citrusella are in position? Snowanna aswell?"
"Yes…." Adorabeezle would run after them.
"Then they won't escape us again…." Jubileena would follow as Vanellope would sit on her throne Rancis by her side.
"So it looks like Herschel will be joining us….." She'd stand up.
"Yea…." Rancis would look over at her.
"He'll probably spawn on the royal raceway….let's go there…" She'd walk out as he'd follow silently.
Gloyd and Candlehead would continue running as Nougetsia and Citrusella would appear a mere 10 feet infront of them guns drawn.
"End of the line you 2…." Candlehead would turn around and see Adorabeezle and Jubileena approach slowly.
"I got to say….you guys did manage to stay hidden…..but this is it…" Adorabeezle would aim at Candlehead and would grin when the birthday themed racer's arms would reach for the sky.
"You have 2 options here…surrender peacefully…or get hurt real bad…..and Gloyd with how I'm feeling about you I suggest you take option 1….." Jubileena would aim at him.
"So what'll it be?" Nougetsia would look at the 2 as Candlehead drops to her knees.
"Option 1 option 1!" Candlehead would say nervously as Gloyd would look at a barley visble sign on the wall.
"Gloyd….you have 5 seconds to choose before we choose for you…." All 4 would aim at him.
"Sorry gonna have to take a rain check on that…." He'd pull on a lever and tons of dust and dirt would drop on them as a ladder would drop beside him.
"See you ladies later…." He'd pull Candlehead towards it and they'd climb out.
"Next time warn me!" Candlehead would cough as they sit beside the open hatch.
"Sorry Candles I'll make sure your prepared next time…." Gloyd would stand up but would freeze when he feels a barrel in the middle of his back.
"There won't be a next time…." Candlehead would look up to see Snowanna as Adorabeezle, Jubileena, Nougetsia and Citrusella would climb out of the tunnel pissed.
"Uh-oh…." She'd back away.
"Candlehead don't worry…..your cool with us…..it's Gloyd who should be worried…."
Gloyd would gulp as they crack their knuckles approaching him.
"Hey that was all just self defense!" He'd back away as Snowanna would knock him to the ground.
"Tell that to someone who cares…." She'd restraint Candlehead as the rest would go to town on Gloyd.
(10 painful minutes later)
Gloyd's nose and mouth would be bleeding as he'd been in awful pain as they'd finally stop and back away as Snowanna would call Vanellope saying they have them.
"Good old fashion back alley beatdown…..nice choice…." Gloyd would chuckle still in pain.
"Just can't break that sense of humor can we?" Jubileena would kick his side hard.
"Hmmm maybe a Cherry Bomb isn't the only red thing with a short temper…." He'd chuckle as they'd kick him a few more times.
"Why do you want to keep getting hurt?" They'd glare at him.
"Because…..your….just…..proving….my….point….besides…..I needed….to….distract…you…long…enough…."
"Long enough for what?"
Snowanna would pass out.
"Long enough for the update to start idiots!" He'd laugh as they'd all pass out.
(A while later)
They'd wake to see Gloyd and Candlehead gone and the hatch sealed along with their bodies morphed from a child's body to a teenagers.
"Hey Snowanna….did you hear anything about character upgrades?" Nougetsia would look up at her.
"No I didn't hear anything of the kind…..guess even people in GCS didn't know the full extant of the upgrade…." Snowanna would look at herself.
Jubileena would look over at Adorabeezle. "You look way hotter Adorabeezle…." Adorabeezle would blush and she'd grin.
Vanellope would call them to the Royal Raceway where everyone else would be.
(Meanwhile)
Torvald would be waiting with Vanellope as they'd look at themselves surprised.
"Did you know we'd be getting older?" Torvald would look at Vanellope who'd look at herself in the mirrors of her kart.
"No I did not…..maybe Snowanna didn't find everything out…."
"Ok…..but I don't see a new character anywhere…you think they made a mistake? I see 2 new tracks but no racer….." Torvald would look around.
"Remember Characters have tons of codes along with their house and kart….it just takes a while…." Vanellope would reassure her as the song 'Life is a highway' would blare throughout the game.
"Guess that's him…."
A kart would suddenly fly over them and come to a stop infront of them as the racer would remove their helmet.
"G'day racers…" He'd jump out of his kart.
Vanellope would clear her throat. "Welcome to Sugar Rush….I'm Vanellope the princess and ruler of the game…and who might you be?"
"Name's Herschel…..Herschel Nougatson…."
"Allow me to show you around….." She'd grab his arm and walk off with him.
"You won't turn him Vanellope…take that as a determined vow….." Torvald would walk away.
End Ch.1
So Candlehead and Gloyd escaped and a new racer Herschel Nougatson has been added to the game
How will Torvald reveal the truth to him?
Will he believe her?
Which side will he take?
And what will be the reaction to his decision?
