Hot shot and Override were deeply in love. They have spending a lot of time together. They are talking about bonding. "Hot shot are you ready to bond?" Override asked.
"I want to be your sparkmate very much I don't know what Optimus will say when he finds out." Hot shot said.
But the bonded anyway.
When they told to Optimus to their surprise he didn't get angry at all. "Congratulations you two may you be very happy together." he said.
"I was worried you might be angry." Hot shot said.
"I'm not angry would I be mad at great news that my son is now bonded?" Optimus said.
"Son?" Override asked.
"I guess I forgot to mention that." Hot shot said.
"Yes you did." Override said. "But I'm not mad." she said.
The others were happy for them.
They lived in there new share cooridors.
A couple of weeks later Override woke up feeling bad. Hot shot noticed this. "Override dear are you feeling alright?" he asked.
"I really don't feel so good." Override said.
Hot shot felt her forehead. "You don't see to have a fever." he said.
"But I think I'll be okay." Override said getting up but almost fell over.
"I'm taking you to see Red alert you can't even stand up on your own." Hot shot said.
"Just bit dizzy." Override said.
"A bit?" Hot shot said in disbelief. "Come let's go." he said.
Hot shot carried Override into the Medical bay.
"Is everything alright Hot shot?" Red alert asked.
"Override told me she isn't feeling too well and feels dizzy." Hot shot said.
"Okay Override let's take a look at you." Red alert said. "Okay no fever, but I'll take an energon sample to see what's wrong." he said.
He drew out a small amount.
"Override what are your other symptoms?" Red alert asked.
"I have headaches, my breastplates are sore, I'm tired almost all the time, and that time of the month hasn't come." Override said.
The machine beeped. Red alert looked at the results. "Well you are very healthy and that is a very good thing." Red alert said.
"So nothing is wrong?" Hot shot asked.
"Yes, well there is a little something and it is very good thing." Red alert said.
"What do mean?" Override asked.
"Hot shot and Override your going to have a sparkling." Red alert said.
"What?!" Hot shot said.
"Override is pregnant." Red alert said.
Override smiled she was very happy.
"You mean I'm going to be a father?" Hot shot asked.
"You sure are Hot shot." Red alert said.
"This is great I'm going to be a father," Hot shot said the realizing it he passed out.
"Oh my word!" Override said.
"I thought he might do that." Red alert said.
Red alert helped the wobbly Hot shot to his feet.
"Are you okay?" Override asked.
"I think so." Hot shot said.
"What is going on in here? Clocker and I came for a visit and we heard a big crash." Brakedown said.
"Yeah is everything alright?" Clocker asked.
"Yes everything is fine." Hot shot said.
"Yes it is." Override said.
"Hot shot just passed out after getting very good and surprising news." Red alert said.
Brakedown understood and so did Clocker. "You mean Hot shot and Override are going to be parents?" Clocker asked.
"Yes they sure are." Red alert said.
"Congratulations you too." Brakedown said.
"It's not like me to pass out like that." Hot shot said.
"Trust me Hot shot passing out with news like this is pretty common." Red alert said.
"Yes, I passed out when I found I was going to be a father myself, but my son and his wife died in an accident so I have to raise my grandson." Brakedown said.
"Grandpa must always say that!" Clocker said he looked plenty embarrassed.
"Sorry Clocker." Brakedown said.
"It's okay," Clocker said. "So when is the sparkling coming?" he asked.
"I don't know yet I was just about to scan it to see how far along it is." Red alert said. Red alert scanned Override. "Looks like you are 7 weeks pregnant Override by twelve weeks we should be able to figure out when it is due." Red alert said.
"Thanks Red alert." Override said.
"It's great to hear you two are going to have a family of your own." Brakedown said.
"True but we were not expecting to happen so soon." Override said.
"So you two were not planning to have a sparkling but whether you two planned or not that sparkling is coming." Red alert said.
"I know and I like the idea of being a father." Hot shot said.
"I can't wait to be a mother." Override said.
"Remember you two this sparkling will be completely dependent on you both." Red alert said.
"I know when I was younger I use to baby sit." Override said.
"Looks like you know what to do." Red alert said.
"I never even held a sparkling." Hot shot said.
"Don't worry Hot shot I will go over things with you and Override so you two will know how to care for your little bundle of joy when it arrives." Red alert said.
"Thanks Red alert." Hot shot said.
"No problem Hot shot.' Red alert said. "Oh I almost forgot Override here are your prenatal vitamins and your pamphlet about becoming a mommy." he said.
"Thank you," Override said.
"For Hot shot a guide to pregnancy pamphlet for fathers." Red alert said.
"Thanks," Hot shot said.
"You Optimus must know he is your father Hot shot." Red alert said.
"I bet Optimus will be over the moon when he finds out he's going to be a grandfather." Brakedown said. "I know when was told I was going to be a grandpa I felt like I could touch the stars." he said.
"So is it going to be a boy or a girl?" Clocker asked.
"It will be a while before we know that Clocker but it is a 50, 50 chance for either gender." Red alert said.
"I don't care I would like either one." Hot shot said.
"Same here I just want the sparkling to be healthy." Override said.
"That's a good way to look at it." Red alert said.
"Well we better find Optimus.' Hot shot said.
"Override, I would like to see you back here in a week to do the first ultra sound." Red alert said.
"Okay," Override said.
"Oh I almost forgot." Red alert said. He got something out. "This is a fetal Doppler we will be able to hear the sparkling's sparkbeat. Humans also use this device to hear their babies heartbeat before birth as well according to Lori. I'll being using this during your next check up as well." he said.
"Okay," Override said.
"We better tell Optimus the good news, I wonder how my dad will react." Hot shot said.
"Then let's go." Override said.
"Tell me how us how he takes the news." Red alert said.
"We will." Hot shot and Override said at the same time.
