Xaldin's Pet
"God I'm so bored." Axel groaned as he leaned backward over the sofa in the rec room. He was on medical leave thanks to a broken leg courtesy to a nova shadow, and having nothing to do and unable to really do anything like go hang out in Twilight Town or play DDR. And forget missions… "I hate being this useless…" he sighed as he glanced upwards to see Xigbar in pretty much the same pose on the ceiling. "Doesn't the blood rushing to your head bother you?"
"Not really. I'm only up here because I heard that Xaldin's pet is loose."
"Xaldin has a pet?" Axel frowned. "I didn't know we could have pets."
"I'm sure Xemnas would prefer you didn't but since he has his own weird mystery pet that he keeps in the basement and talks to he can't bitch about us having pets… but so far Xaldin's the only one with a pet."
"…And just what kind of pet does Xaldin have?" Axel asked with a smirk.
"I believe he said it was a rattlesnake."
"…" Axel stared up at him for a minute before pulling his one good leg up on the sofa. "Please tell me he has that thing defanged."
"As far as I know…"
"Gahh!" a clear audible shriek emanated from the garden along with the sounds of multiple stabbing sounds.
"It sounds like Marluxia found it." Axel chuckled.
"I almost feel sorry for the poor thing…" Xigbar mused to himself.
