Gun Gale Online was open of the market's hottest gaming experiences a player could have mainly it stood out amongst the ocean of vast gaming for being an VRMMOFPSRPG, in other terms an online multiplayer game with Call of Duty gunplay, and the other thing it was known for as its cash system allowing players to earn real money by playing the game, making it an instant hit with Pro-Gamers and those looking for an income without having to do any can of employment. The only real competitor to GGO was Alfhiem Online or ALO. One player was not in it but for fun, that player was Cade Yamashiro who was the leader of the Wyvern Corsair squadron, who was in the midst of a fight with a bunch of player hunting bandits who were targeting scavenger players and then stealing their items, he turned to his team sniper Rez and hand signalled him to get to higher ground.
"You got it chief" Rez said
"Rouge, Bunker, cover Rez!" Cade shouted as he pulled out his Long Slide handgun and aimed down the sights while he pulled out his blue photon sword and used it to deflect a couple of bullets before putting it back and jumping out of cover and shooting a massive player with a large Gatling gun
"Shit dude's using a Big Bear Gatling gun" Rez said "Don't worry my Silent Assassin can deal with him"
"REZ! On your flank" a shotgun user shouted as he blasted a handgun user
"Thanks Buck" Rez said sniping another bandit until all was left was a bandit in a Ghillie suit "That's Swamp Razor, man he's got a 950k bounty on his head" Rez said
"Take him" Cade shouted
"Yes sir" Rez cheered sniping their target signalling the end of their hunt. "BOOM HEADSHOT!" he cheered
"Alright guys and lady pack up and let's cash in the quest" Cade shouted
"YEAH!" the others hollered.
Once the Wyvern Corsairs returned back to the city the game dubbed the SBC Glocken which was made out of a spaceship that contained the last remnants of the pre apocalypse Earth based humans. Cade's squad was mostly a bunch of bounty hunters and dungeon clearers. Which member of the squad stuck to certain types of weaponry in the game, Cade being the leader as well as an overall balanced built had a bit more range of weaponry, Rez the squad's Vice-Commander was the team's sniper, Bunker was the squad's heavy weaponry expert, Buck used Shotguns since he derived his name from the term Buckshot, Rouge used SMGs and was the team's main combat medic., and then there was Darx he was the team scout and had mainly handguns in his arsenal, also their assault rifle specialist was absent due to RL. They had been playing together for a couple of months and even then a few of them were friends IRL, namely Cade, Rez and Bunker. They were later joined by Rouge, who judging by her name had a red colouration for her avatar. Cade had to laugh when he met Rouge on his first day playing four months ago.
-=FLASHBACK-4 MONTHS=-
Cade had just logged into GGO for the first time and stood in awe at the sight of the city before a snarky comment came to his mind
"Hey GGO, Ridley Scott called, he wants the setting for Blade Runner back" Cade chuckled as he walked out of the transporter, only to trip and land smack bang right in a woman's bosom. "Sorry" he weakly said as the woman growled at him while cracking her knuckles "OH Sugar Honey Iced Tea!" he shouted as the girl pulled out an IMI Uzi the game dubbed a 'Draque L Sirocco' Cade quickly bolted out of the way as the woman started to somehow fire her weapon in the city
"GET BACK HERE!" the female player shouted
"No thank, I'd rather not" Cade shouted until he collected with another player "Oh damn it!" he shouted
"Cade?" a player asked
"Ren?" Cade asked
"I'm called Rez in GGO and I see you have met Rouge aka Aki IRL" Rez said
"That's Aki! Damn she's dizzyingly cute" Cade blushed
"You do realise, she's my crush" Rez deadpanned
"Stop her then" Cade shouted
"Head's up, look who's here" Rez said knocking Cade out of his memory
"Captain Ringmaster" Bunker said, looking over he saw a bunch of players coming for them, one of them was dressed like a combination of a Circus ringmaster and an 18th century Caribbean pirate. Next to him was a player dressed like a French soldier. Behind the pirate looking player was what could only be called a harem of scantily clad female players.
"Duke" Cade said
"Ah, if it isn't the Wyvern Corsair squadron" Duke said snootily
"Rochefort" Rez said
"Rez" Rochefort said
"Now what are you losers doing here of all places?" Duke asked with all the charm of a poisonous snake, "Maybe you are ready to hand over Rouge and Lilac to my squad"
"As if" the gruff and growly voice of Darx said as Rez stepped in front of Rouge.
"You know, I heard that there are two wondrous beauties that have yet to be tamed, and I'm so looking forward to adding them to my little squad" Duke said
"You know, it's a wonder how you got your near all-female squad considering you have what we like to basically call a 'micro-transaction'" Bunker joked before Buck fist bumped him. Duke scowled before he turned to leave.
"Prick" Darx said
"Yeah I agree, Rochefort..isn't that a smelly kind of cheese" Cade said before an alarm went off. "Shit I'm late" Cade said bolting
"Hot date?" Bunker asked
"An old friend" Rez chuckled making the others confused
"Okay, I'm here, now where is she" Cade asked
"There you are, man it took me longer to find you then I thought" a girl said, looking behind him Cade saw a young reddish pink haired girl around his age wearing a pink and white outfit which Cade recognised as the Primary Coat F outfit in its original colouring, her blue eyes shone brightly. A soft smile was brought to Cade's face
"Hey Kurenai" Cade said walking up to her and hugged the girl
"You recognise me?" the girl asked "And its Kureha in GGO"
"Sure, I would always recognise those eyes, the most crystal blue eyes of my childhood friend" Cade said making Kureha's face a fiery red and made her brush her hair behind her ears.
"I figured you would forget me" Kureha said
"Don't worry I didn't, now what do you have planned?" Cade asked
"There's a tournament about to begin and there's a super rare awesome, and you're going to help me get it" Kureha said
"You sure about that?" Cade asked unimpressed
"Of course, I am the experienced player of course, so since GGO is your first VRMMORPG I'll show you the ropes okay?"
'She hasn't heard of the Wyvern Corsairs...I'm pretty sure I'm the better player' Cade dryly thought. 'And I know the damn ropes"
"Oh Itsuki" Kureha said
'Okay what does that Alphard bastard want now? Maybe I should IM Lilac and see when she's going to log on since I might need help from Zeliska with this dickhead, I wonder if there is a full moon taunt in this game' Cade thought as Itsuki and Kureha talked, suddenly a PM from Lilac Cade's Assault rifle specialist and third in command for the squad, her message was about a tournament which held a rare item as a prize. Cade automatically wanted that prize, even if it was to keep it from falling into Duke's hands. Most girl players knew about Duke's reputation and Cade's as well, now while Cade was a Bounty hunter the gaming community also called him a Guardian player since he's squadron always helped out other players. Cade nodded and sent a message to the other members of his squad to tell them to help Lilac and him recover that prize. Darx replied they were already on their way.
"Come on we'll be late" Kureha said
"You got it." Cade nodded
"This is the tournament?" Cade asked he stood in a building
"Why are you complaining?" Kureha asked
"Because there are no other players" Cade grumbled "And there are no good monsters" Cade said pulling out his Long Stroke and shooting a drone in the optic making it exploded
"Well, you're doing pretty good for a rookie" Kureha said
'Again with the damn rookie. I feel like Probie from NCIS here!' Cade thought 'No respect'
"You coming?" Kureha asked
"Yeah I am, so what's this rare item?" Cade asked
"I'm not sure, but either way you're helping me get it okay" Kureha said
"Sure thing" Cade rolled his eyes as he blew away another foe, reloaded and fired three more rounds into a larger drone. Using cover every so often enabled Cade and Kureha to not hit so often. Kureha would charge on ahead, Cade stopped and grabbed ammo from the bullet chests and then ran after Kureha, suddenly a bullet line was seen on Kureha's shoulder. Cade look down the sights of his gun making the bullet circle zero in on a player character; it was a sniper from the Azure faction. Thinking quickly he dispensed a bullet into the sniper's head and offed him.
"Nice shot" Kureha said "Now let's high and low for that rare item"
"Oh it's you two" a voice said
'Great...Itsuki and Taipan, what do those morons want?' Cade thought
"Cade as soon as you see an opening run for it okay?" Kureha asked "if that guy's with Itsuki he must be pretty skilled, we're seriously outclassed here
'And that last statement I have to agree with' Cade said
"I don't knwo about you Kureha, but huh. I didn't realise you knew each other" Itsuki said
"Itsuki?" Kureha asked as Cade grabbed her hand and pulled out a smoke grenade.
"Catch you later" Cade said as he shot Taipan in the leg and Itsuki in the shoulder while running to the right.
"What was that?" Kureha asked
"Instinct?" Cade asked shrugging
"That was skill, not instinct" Kureha said
"You sure?" Cade said "After all I'm just the rookie who just started"
"Whatever" Kureha said going over to a console and type on it. Cade then looked at his messages to see that the team was ready to move should anything happen "Either way with this we'll get the rare item" Kureha continued
"So what exactly is it?" Cade asked before the teleporter booted up "Kureha"
"One second" Kureha said
"HEY KURE!
"HA!" Cade said as he looked around the room he was in, it was a deserted room with nothing but something high tech, Cade went eyed as he approached the thing, looking around seeing monitors with all sorts of data screens on it. It was a cryotube, Cade approached it know that this was the rare item that Kureha wanted. Cade touched the dark green section of it making it light up
"I have a bad feeling about this" Cade said
"Player authentication...start master registration" the computer said
"What?" Cade said as he looked around
"User name...C4D3 registration complete" the computer said
"Again, what?" Cade asked making the cryotube open up to reveal a beautiful girl, she had long blue hair with tip highlight, a generous figure and deep emerald green eyes
"Master" her sweet voice said as she collapsed. Cade rushed over and checked her pulse before a bullet line appeared.
"Oh shit" he said dodging the bullet
"I'm sorry Kirito
"It's alright Asuna, don't worry about it" a second voice said
"Asuna, Kirito...oh shit" Cade said leaping back onto his feet and pulling out his blue photon sword just as a purple photon blade impacted it. Thinking quickly Cade kicked the enemy sword user back and pulled out his long stroke and shot at the rafter. Grabbing the girl he hid behind the cryotube and fired back at both the sniper and the swordsman. "Where are you guys?" he asked as the bullets flew at his direction. Doing a tactical roll he ran out and blocked a sword strike from the swords men, Cade jumped back just as a bullet flew at him. Cade looked up to see the sniper was about to shoot him when Kureha appeared
"Hold it right there" Kureha said
"You better put your gun down" Asuna said as she aimed her Midou-Type AR at Kureha said
"Not bad" Kirito said before a wall exploded.
"You were only suppose to blow the bloody doors off!" Cade shouted
"Sorry chief" Rouge said as she and the others came in with another player that hadn't joined them earlier
"But hey we brought Lilac" Bunker said smiling
"Uh huh" Cade said
"Now pretty lady, down you gun" Buck said aiming at Asuna,
"You too Kirito" Rez said
"Guns down pinky" Bunker said
"Bunker" Cade shouted
"Sorry Cade, had to be sure" Bunker shrugged
"Master are you okay?" the girl said
"Yeah I am, what about you, are you okay Makoto?" Cade asked
"I am Master" the girl said happily
"Say what now?" Bunker asked
"I think we need and explanation, everyone where about multiple things" Rez said
"I for one agree" Cade said "So who's first?'
"Well sadly we've come here on a wasted journey. Asuna"
"Right Kirito" Asuna said as the pair left.
"Those two, were they"
"Yeah" Cade said before Kureha grabbed him by the collar
"Okay pal, TALK!" Kureha glared at him
"Yes ma'am" Cade said
G'day Guys Grizz here and yeah an SAO fic, I know what you're thinking 'why are you doing an SAO fic?' Well simple I've been playing the latest SAO game: SAO-Fatal Bullet and my goodness is it fund and also thank you Bandai Namco for finally releasing a SAO on the XONE, its a good game! anyway I'm using that as the base for this fic with a version of my PC in that game and I gave him the name Cade instead of Grizz and added a bunch of new OCs who will get expanded upon as the fic continues on, plus we will see the other game characters and Kirito's guild/squadron/harem in here as well
