It's been a long day, Remus just wants to go home. Texting Peter, he searched for the black car his friend owned. He'd just come home from a trip to Greenland, doing some research. Peter had texted him back and he sighed, pawing at his neck.
Finally spotting his friend's car he slid into the passenger side. Seeing a head of long black hair instead of short blonde hair the driver's seat, he panicked.
"Who the fuck are you?!" Remus screeched while flailing his arms spasmodically. Did someone kill Peter? Is it because I told him to pick me up from the airport? Oh my god, Lily is never going to forgive. I'm gonna be alone. All these thoughts flew through his mind as the bewildered man beside him stared at him in confusion.
Suddenly the stranger started laughing. His laugh was like a bark and it made Remus slightly upset. Remus huffed and stuck out his bottom lip, only sign that he was upset.
Noticing this, the stranger instantly shut up and glanced at Remus. He cleared his throat and tentatively asked why Remus was in his car.
Suddenly realising that he wasn't in Peter's car, Remus apologised for hopping into a random person's car, and then screaming at them.
"It's okay man, I've got my laughs for today. Hey, what's your name? Mine's Sirius." The man- Sirius, had said in a flurry of words.
"Lupin, Remus Lupin" he answered with a smirk. Scribbling his number and name on the napkin he found in his pocket, he handed it over to Sirius. His new accidental friend returned the favor on a piece of paper on his dashboard. Sirius's hand-writing was loopy, a nice kind of loopy.
Smiling like a loon, Remus opened the passenger side door and slid onto the sidewalk, thankful to not have to be watched by the other male any longer. Turning back one last time, Remus waved at Sirius and proceeded to search for Peter's car once again. Finding the proper car he was supposed to occupy, Remus smiled in relief. Noticing Lily in the front seat, he eagerly made himself present in the back.
That was interesting. Never had anyone randomly jump into my car on an honest mistake before. I wonder how he ever thought that this was someone else's car. Sirius mused while watching his new friend walk off.
This would be an interesting new friendship.
