No Paper
COLD OPEN
INT. OFFICE - THE COPY MACHINE - MORNING
KEVIN standing by copy machine; ANGELA behind him waiting impatiently. Kevin pushes a button. Light of copy machine goes halfway, then copier makes a shuttering noise, and stops working.
KEVIN: Ohhh, noooo.
ANGELA : noise of disgust
ANDY jumps up from his desk and crosses to copier in two strides.
ANDY: What is it pumpkin?
ANGELA: This stupid idiot broke the copy machine and I need these files copied now.
OSCAR: It's just out of paper. See? The "out of paper" button is flashing.
MICHAEL comes out of office.
MICHAEL: What's wrong?
JIM: The copy machine is out of paper.
MICHAEL: Don't worry. I'm on it.
MICHAEL makes to walk out of the office down to the warehouse. Dwight stands up at his desk and stops Michael.
DWIGHT: No Michael, I got it.
DWIGHT leaves office. PAM and JIM exchange a look.
ANGELA TALKING HEAD
ANGELA: Yes, I'm mad about Kevin breaking the copier. I really need those copies. And no, I do not think Dwight is a hero for getting the paper. Anyone could do that.
INT. OFFICE - THE COPY MACHINE
DWIGHT returns with the paper.
MICHAEL: No Dwight. Give me the paper.
They struggle. MICHAEL ends up with paper. He holds it ceremoniously over his head, Walks over to copy machine, and gives it to Angela.
MICHAEL: Here you go. I have saved the day.
ANDY fumbles with loading the paper but eventually gets it in.
ANDY: There you go my love.
ANGELA rolls her eyes, puts her what she needs to copy in the copy machine, and presses the "copy" button. Copy machine beeps at her and does nothing. Dwight comes over and takes a look.
DWIGHT: It's out of ink.
