Lesson 1: the waiting game
Runo sighed, she was waiting for Dan. How could he possibly be late on
their very first date?! Here she was standing, all dressed nicely. She
looked at her watch, It's been ten minutes, she thought. She was tired
of waiting. So she got up and left.
"OH Damn! I'm late!" Dan cried. "Runo is going to kill me!" How could
he let time fly like that? Usually when he was brawling, time would
stop. Litterally. But time just flew out. "What would I tell her?
Sorry I'm late because I was trying to pick out the perfect gift tell
you how I feel? That I love you?! No way! That would ruin things." Dan
murmmered. When he got to the park, she wasn't there.
"Stupid! Why'd you even believe that he would show?" she yelled to
herself. They've been through so much together, but this one time. Dan
just could not stop brawling for her. Tears started rolling down her
cheek. " UGH! Now I'm crying!" she yelled as she wiped away her tears.
She stopped walking and looked at her reflection in front of a store
window.
Dan searched franctically across town for her. She was nowhere to be
seen or found. He sighed. I bet now she hates me, he thought. But he
couldn't give up. He would never give up for someone that important to
him. That was how much he cared. Underneath all that cockiness. There
was a soft spot all for that one special blue-haired girl.
What do I do now? Runo thought to herself. She was sitting in front of
Dan's house. Waiting for him to comeback. She could tell that he
wasn't home him because his lights weren't on. It was getting a bit
chilly. "God! Why didn't I bring a jacket?" she said to herself.
After a tired afternoon of searching, Dan figured she went home.
Depressingly he walked him. Along with his special gift.
