It was one of those songs he caught scanning the car radio on his way to work. It was catchy and it caught him. He half-listened to it and realised how much it was… him. It was also one of those songs that got stuck in his head. Fat raindrops fell from the grey sky and were instantly wiped away by the wipers. But the gloom and doom that was the outside didn't distract him from the catchy little song. In fact, that catchy little song made the day seem a lot sunnier.

It was gloomy outside. And because it was gloomy outside, the inside seemed gloomier than usual. People bustled as usual and the day was becoming so painfully usual Greg decided to… seize the day. After a brief encounter with Catherine, he made the decision to go out on a limb and do something about the nagging voice inside him. He asked her. And all she said was "don't tell her it's a date!" What he was supposed to tell her, he had no idea. And when he saw her, he made it sound like he was scared. She probably thought he was being a jerk. Moment ruined.
