Hey so this is my very first Degrassi fic (I usually write Gilmore Girls (Jess/Rory)), but I thought I would give EClare a try.

So was I the only person who was kind of pissed in Halo pt. 2, when Eli and Clare didn't say "I love you" during the hammock scene? Well this is a swing on that scene, what I think would have gone down had they actually said I love you (I also added a lead up…like how they arrived at the hammock in the first place). It's a one shot for now…I might continue it I don't know.

Rated: T for now…might change to M if I continue.

Clare's POV

Adam's successful dance was in full swing, as a slow song started to play I felt what could only be Eli's arms snag around my waist from behind.

"Hey Edwards," Eli whispered gently in my ear.

"Hey you," I replied grinning as a soft blush creped upon my cheeks.

"Close your eyes and come with me," Eli smirked.

"Okay," I said confused, but excited.

I complied and closed my eyes. I felt Eli swing his arm around my neck and I grabbed his hand. Eli then lead me off to what I could only imagine what was somewhere near the party, but far enough away that we could be alone.

We finally stopped walking, assumedly arriving at our destination.

"Open your eyes," Eli said softly.

I did what I was told and saw a beautiful sight before me that wasn't here this afternoon when we were setting up. In a semi secluded area there was a hammock under the stars adorned with a blanket and two pillows. Surrounding the hammock was a bunch of candles. It was like a scene out of movie happening before my eyes.

"Oh my God, Eli this is beautiful. When did you set this up?"

"After I dropped Adam and you off, I came back and set it up. It's no big deal, I just wanted to make this night special for us, you know since our last dance wasn't so successful."

"Well it's fantastic."

"Come on, I help you in."

Eli got in the hammock first, and then motioned for me to come over and get in. As soon I got situated, Eli wrapped his arms around me and I cuddled into him. We laid like that under the stars in complete silence for a comfortable moment. Then I proceeded to break that silence.

"The stars are out." I stated obviously.

"What's your wish?" Eli questioned.

"If I say it out loud it won't come true," I teased flirtingly.

We both giggled for a second, and then I sensed Eli become a bit more serious, almost nervous, which is strange for my boyfriend.

"How cheesy would it be if I said that…I…that I love you."

My eyes widened in shock but it was only for a moment because in all honesty I could truly say that I felt the same.

"Not at all, I love you too."

Eli leaned down and kissed my head. We stayed like that in comfortable silence for the rest of the night, just basking in our new found love, happy that all was finally right with us.

Okay well there you have it.

Who else agrees that EClare should have fluffier nicknames for each other…I mean really they only use each other's last names they should have something cuter (yes I know of the made up "Blue Eyes" but I mean on the show).

I do continue it will go slightly more in depth and it will cover what my predictions for February will be (but keep in mind that I WILL NOT include Fitz…that'll only cause drama and frankly if I just want this to be a huge fluff fest haha. I could change my mind about the whole no Fitz thing with some convincing, I don't know, its 3am and frankly I'm not thinking straight). Anyway some rules NO RUDENESS ALLOWED… but always feel free to give constructive criticism, and nice comments are more than welcome.
