So this is my first time writing a challenge, so bear with me.
We all know that there are 4 types of FMA/Harry Potter crossovers:
Ed goes to Hogwarts(For one reason or another)
Ed finds a baby Harry(This one was quite popular for a while)
The Fullmetal Alchemist Characters reincarnate as Harry Potter characters
And the rarest one-Harry ends up in Amestris (I've only come across 2 stories that do this)
This challenge falls into the 3rd category: The FMA characters reincarnate and all go to Hogwarts.
Now before I start telling you what the parameters are let me make it clear that not EVERY character has to be brought back. You'd end up replacing the entire school population for all four houses INCLUDING the staff. However, there are too many key characters to leave them all out so I'd say have at LEAST 4 FMA characters reincarnate.
Requirements:
Harry MUST be Edwards reincarnation. I know, I know he looks nothing like him but in all honesty, Harry's personality always struck me as being closer to Ed's than Roy's. If it bothers you, you can have Ed features start to manifest or something, but Harry MUST be Ed.
Draco Malfoy MUST be Roy Mustang. While Draco might be whiny and arrogant, his personality tends to clash even more when he's written as Ed's reincarnation and the Slytherin has to have some major OOCness to pull it off. I think Roy, being sauve and self confident with his eternal "rivalry" with Ed makes Draco the better choice for Roy's future self.
The story should start around the first book. As reincarnations, none of them remember who they were until they are put through life threatening situations (ex: Quirrelmort, the Basilisk, Dementors). How much they remember and when is up to you, but by 4th year they should all know who they are. How that affects them and their relationships is up to whoever picks up this challenge. Just make it interesting.
