This plot bunny hopped up randomly while I was about to fall asleep and I decided to write it down. :)

Not much plot, pretty much pointless, really.

The reviews I got during my first story were amazing, fyi. Wasn't really expecting them, but thanks for the feedback! I had to read the reviews one by one every ten minutes because I was giggling too much.

I do not own NCIS. CBS does.

"Shouldn't it be the other way around?" Gibbs whispered as he knelt in front of Jenny's head. The first female director of an armed federal agency blearily glared up at him. She was currently lying rather uncomfortably on the couch Gibbs had in his living room, case files and budget reports strewn all over the coffee table situated beside it. A cup of cold tea sat unforgotten amongst the mess.

"I didn't want to talk to you after the argument," Jenny muttered sleepily, still managing to look dangerous while trying not to fall asleep.

"Then shouldn't I be sleeping on the couch, not you?" Gibbs said, fighting back the urge to run her fingers through her mussed up hair. Jenny looked adorable sleepily glaring.

She replied something unintelligible, burying her face underneath her arms.

"I didn't get that."

Jenny glared at him again. "I didn't want to hurt your back," she repeated.

Gibbs stared at her pointedly for a moment. Jenny sighed again, growing irritated.

"You sleep too much under your boat in the basement, Jethro. It takes a toll on your back – don't interrupt me," she said, noticing Gibbs opening his mouth in a retort, "I can hear the cracks your back makes every time you stretch in the morning. I didn't want to sleep with you after what happened this morning, but I'm not going to take it out on your back. Hence, I'm sleeping here. On your couch."

Gibbs stared at her some more and started speaking slowly. "So basically, what you're trying to tell me is that you're angry at me over what happened this morning, but didn't want me to suffer about it?"

"Don't think I'm letting you off that easily, Jethro," she hissed.

Gibbs chuckled, finally reaching out to run his fingers through her hair. Jenny relaxed to his touch.

"I'm not," he reassured, working out the tangles that had accumulated during her slumber. "Come back to bed, Jen. It's cold."

Jenny contemplated for a moment, before sitting up from the couch. Her back cracked in protest, her face wincing along. She stood up just as he did.

"Wouldn't want your back to hurt with mine, would you?" Gibbs said, laughing at the look he received from his lover. He wrapped an arm around her waist, bringing her closer to him as they climbed up the stairs to the second floor.

"I'm still angry at you," Jenny stated, snuggling into his embrace.

"We'll talk about in the morning," Gibbs replied, kissing her hair.

Love it? Hate it? Want to eat it?

As I said (or implied, rather) in the last story, review if you want to. :)
