It's already been 4 years since we moved from Cuba to Miami and quite a bit has happened. 8 weeks after moving here we had a proper barrel ceremony for Ivan. It was a very sad time and i wasn't the only one who felt this, ever since the United States coast guard's Señor Castillo and Señora Juanita Castillo they weren't able to find Ivans body at sea they haven't been the same. I've been wondering, what if Ivan was still here? what if he was with us now? Imagining, how his face would light up with joy watching the baseball games up close not through a screen, How he'd make jokes in class, How he'd walk home with me and our group of friends telling us how he would be the best baseball player ever! Yes some sad things happen but lots of good to. Amara was able to become a Miami police officer, not only that she and Luis finally got married! Señor Castillo got the loan for his restaurant. Everyone who visits sat that he makes the best baked goods in Miami mabe even the States. I'm now in 10th grade and can speak fluent English but still speak Spanish when at home. Little Mariano has grown quite a bit too. He's now in his second year of kindergarten at Jefferson Memorial elementary school.(AN/ Just a heads up I just made it up off the bat). His teacher says he's always making friends and gets his work done. Mami and papi are trying to teach him how to speak both English and Spanish but that's not going to well. "Isabel hurry we have to go" Mami yelled from the other room. "Coming" Isabel yelled back. Ding Dong. "Somebody go answer the door". Papi said. "I got it". Isabel said. Is somebody going to open this door or are you gonna make me wait out here all day". Isabel couldn't believe her ears. This voice it couldn't be. she thought in shock. She slowly reaced out to the door knob. Trying not to give her hopes up. She had mistaken that voice so many times before but this time for whatever reason she felt sure. She slowly opened the door. Her eyes widened. Hello Chabela". "Litto"! she whispered tears of joy filling her eyes. Litto had made it to Miami.
