"Beep beep beep beep!" Zach's alarm clock was buzzing.
He groaned tiredly and gazed at the clock.
"5:45," He moaned.

Meanwhile, across the hall, Gray had been up for a while.
He was already dressed and ready to go, sitting on his bed reading a book.

Zach finally raised up after hitting the snooze button thirty times, and walked into Gray's room.
He was surprised to see him ready and sitting on his bed.
"You're crazy! You know that?!" He exclaimed, sitting down next to Gray.

"Heard that before," Gray replied casually.

Zach grinned.
"Mom and Dad are so stupid!" He replied, highly irritated.

"Why?" Gray asked, gazing up from his book to look at Zach.

"Because! We just got back from an island that we almost died on multiple times last weekened, and they're already making us go back to school!" Zach exclaimed, rubbing his tired eyes.

"Well, we have to go back sometime," Gray replied, glancing back down in his book.

"Yeah, I know. But they could've waited a little longer! I'm sure the school would've excused the Jurassic World incident!" Zach exclaimed hatefully.

Gray nodded, only half listening to Zach rave on about school.
"I don't want to go back either. But I can't stop them, so..."

"Yeah, I know. Well, I gotta go get ready. But I'll come back and talk to ya when I'm done!" Zach replied, raising off the bed and walking to the bathroom.

Gray didn't even acknowledge that his brother had left, and lost himself in his book again.

Zach traipsed to the bathroom and closed the door.
He threw on his casualty, black skinny jeans, Converse High Tops, and a t-shirt.
He splashed icey cold water on his face in attempt wake himself up.
He brushed his teeth, trudged out of the bathroom, and into Gray's room.

Gray was still sitting on his bed, reading his book when Zach plopped down next to him.
He looked up at Zach and smiled.

"What're you so happy about?! It's Monday!" Zach exclaimed, but smiled back at Gray.

"Because when it's Monday, it means it's getting even closer to Friday!" Gray chirped, slamming his book shut.

"You're too much of an optimist!" Zach smiled, shoving Gray, who fell over easily.

"No I'm not! And I could be like you!" Gray exclaimed, pulling himself back up.

"You should be! Life is a heck of a lot easier!" Zach joked, pushing Gray off the bed.
Gray fell over the bed, but dragged Zach with him.
They both landed on the carpet with a large thud.
They were wrestling each other when their mom walked in.

"Umm... okay... breakfast is ready," Karen replied, leaving the doorway and walking down the stairs.

Zach burst out laughing at their mom's reaction, causing Gray to giggle.
"Let's go eat!" Zach exclaimed, helping Gray up off the floor.

They sprinted down the stairs, racing for the best spot at the bar.
Zach, surprisingly, got there first and plopped down in the seat, as Gray stood there glaring at him.
All of the sudden, Gray got an evil glint in his eyes.

Zach stared at him, his spoon full of Fruit Loops halted in mid-air.

Gray pounced on Zach, getting comfortable in his lap.

Zach just shrugged.
"You're as light as a marshmallow anyway!"

Gray looked disapointed.
"Fine..."

Karen smiled and leaned over the counter, staring at them.
"So, are you guys excited to go back to school to tell a bunch of people about how you survived Jurassic World?"

Zach paused.
He hadn't thought of that.
How people would be hounding them all day about it.

Gray also paused.
"Umm... I'm not really hungry," He replied, setting the spoon back down in the bowl.

"Oh, okay," Karen shrugged, taking the bowl away from Gray.

"I'm not really hungry either," Zach shrugged, handing the bowl to Karen.
(How stupid could she be?!) His brain screamed.
He raised up and walked up the stairs to his room with Gray following him close behind.
