This is one of those... mock prologues I keep hearing about. I'm hoping real hard to make it a story, but I really don't know if it'll ever get done.
---
When Auron had first shown up on the houseboat that had belonged to Tidus and his late mother, Tidus had taken one good look at him and decided that he didn't like him. He didn't like this man that barged into his life and taken over what had been his mother's job of watching over him.
Auron wouldn't let him stay outside with his friends as late as his mother, Auron got 'dissapointed' when his marks weren't up to par, and he had taken over Tidus's mother's room before Tidus had even had the chance to really say good-bye to her.
He really didn't like this man.
----
Two years later - when Tidus was ten - Auron was still there, and Tidus wasn't doing much to make his life any less miserable.
He was on the elementary blitzball team, and he had his first starting game in a week. He and his friends were talking about it on the deck of Tidus's houseboat, but Tidus just couldn't really get into having a nice conversation with his group of friends when he wasn't sure whether Auron was hiding in one of those shadows or not.
On the day of the game, Tidus looked around. Everyone on the team had their parents or a sibling with them, getting them ready and letting them know that they'd be watching, and Tidus sat alone, keeping a blitzball balanced on his foot. When the game started, he had an ache in his stomach, but managed to play his best. When he made his first goal, he forgot himself, and looked out in the crowd, before remembering that there was no one out there cheering just for him; but when he looked, there, standing just out of the shadow of the entrance, was a red cloaked figure that was imprinted in the back of his brain, watching.
Auron might not be so bad, after all.
Hmm, so how's that? I don't think it's as good as it could be, but that's because I kind of forgot everything that had been written in my head, so I might end up changing it by the time I really start to post the story. And don't worry, I'm not going to go skipping years like crazy, this is just the... set up of the story.
