Summery: Jimmy thinks about Christopher Reeve's death

A/N: I saw a magazine with an article about the late Chris Reeve today and suddenly I just heard Jimmy's voice in my head. Why now, I don't know but here it is. FYI this was not bete'd. Jimmy is owed by 1013, FOX and CC. All errors belong to me.

Christopher Reeve died the other day.

I didn't even know until today when I saw the paper. When I mentioned it to Langly he said he knew. It was on the internet.

It sucks. I mean Christopher Reeve was like THE Superman. No offence to Dean Cain or Tom Welling or whomever they get to play Superman in the next movie. For me Christopher Reeve IS Superman. Always will be.

I couldn't believe it when he had that horse riding accident. When I first heard I was like...oh, is he ok? I figured maybe he broke a leg or an arm or something. Then I heard about the paralysis. That was so unreal. I wrote him a get well letter.

Once in an interview after his accident he said he would walk again before he died. His strength and conviction and courage really amazed me. And when he got some feeling back and was able to wiggle his toe I cheered. I wrote him another letter. I was really excited for him. He was going to do it. He was going to walk again. If anyone could do it, it would be him.

But then he died. I didn't get it, I really didn't. He died from pressure wounds. What the hell was that? I was going to ask Byers but instead I decided to look it up myself. Do I yahoo? Yup. And google too.

Took forever but I found what I was looking for. Pressure wounds are bed sores. Bed sores. I didn't get it. The more I thought about it the more angry I got. How could someone die from freakin bed sores?

So, I read some more. Apparently its real common with paralyzed people because they can't move and they develop a sore. Mr. Reeve's sore became infected and it entered his blood stream. He went into a coma and had a cardiac arrest.

I read other stuff too. What Christopher Reeve accomplished; getting some feeling back and being able to wiggle his toes was vary rare. Not many people get feeling back and stuff. It was Mr. Reeve's dedication and courage and belief that got him to that point.

He even refused to let the paralysis stop him from acting. He stared in a remake of Rear Window. Yves said the movie was no Hitchcock but it was a good film.

I wanted to honor his memory somehow so I rented a bunch of his movies. All Christopher Reeve, all day. Even the guys said they're up for it.

But I'm saving Somewhere in Time to watch with Yves.

Goodbye Mr. Reeve. You will be missed.
