The First Real Meeting
A KyoXTohru Fanfic
Tohru was walking home one day. She was going to stop at home and grab some grocery money so she could buy some snacks for when Uo and Hana sleepover tomorrow.
"Hmm we should get ice cream! Hana also likes Yakiniku and Uo likes Soba! So I'll have to get those..."
Tohru arrived and the store and began searching Aisle by Aisle for Yakiniku and Soba.
"Ehh!... I wonder if mom wants anything... AH! Sugar! We need more sugar! She wanted to make cookies but we need sugar!"
Tohru mind was swirling as she searched for the baking aisle. If only she noticed the seasoning display, which she tripped over. Thats when she heard him.
"Oi! You okay?"
Tohru looked up only to see a boy. A boy with bright orange hair. Tohru face felt hot and she sprang up only to step on his foot.
"Ow!!! Dammit! What'd you do that for?!?!?!"
"Eh!?!?" Tohru looked at her feet and jumped back, "Ah! I'm so sorry are you OK?! I didn't- uhh, Are you OK?!?!"
Tohru frantically tried to apologize, but instead the boy got a minute entertainment of complete stupidity.
"Like Hell I'm Fine!!! What about you? Your the one that fell."
Tohru paused and stared blankly remembering she did fall.
"Oh ye- yes! I'm fine!!! really but umm.. I fell on your feet uhhh- I'm sorry!"
Tohru bowed her head and the boy was stunned. He never had been apologized too, yet again the Sohma's really weren't open arms with the cat.
"Oi! I'm Fine but really you might wanna watch were you're goin."
"Ah... Oh yea!" Tohru then looked in her basket, everything was still in there, except for the sugar she still needed. "How about I repay you! I'll buy you a snack!"
Tohru innocently smiled while the boy suddenly realized she looked familiar, but couldn't place were.
"Hey, do I know you?"
"Eh?!?!" Tohru mind began spinning.
"I- I know him! Bu- But we haven't met before unless... Unless I forgot who we was! Uh No! That horrible! And rude of me!"
"I'm Sorry!"
"For what?" the boy raised his brow.
"N- not remembering you"
"Oi, its fine really, you just look familiar that all."
Tohru was relieved that she didn't forget someone.
"Oh! Yes what would you like me to get you!" Tohru smiled that spacey smile of hers surprising the boy.
"Thats riight... she wants to treat me to something to repay for stepping on my foot."
He walked over the snack aisle, Picked up a Cod onigiri and tossed it to Tohru.
"Here." He said while he watched as she struggled to catch it.
"Ah! Okay!" Tohru starred at the onigiri.
"Maybe I should get some for tomorrow?"
Tohru picked up three more Onigiri.
"Hey! I only need one!"
"Oh these are for Uo-chan and Hana-chan!"
"Okaay, I just not going to ask" Thought the boy.
Tohru got up to the registered and checked out.
"Here you go!"
The boy noticed she was wearing the same stupid expression, which surprisingly didn't seem as stupid as before.
"Thanks, I guess I'll see you around!"
The boy walked waving his hand back at her, along with nibbling on his onigiri. Tohru on the other hand was blushing and panicking because her heart skipped a beat. But knowing Tohru, she thought she had a heart attack when really, she was in love.
