Namiku! x3 *squee* One of my favorite pairings!

This has been revised from the Kari and Riku version I had previously.

She was immersed in the world of her dreams for the moment, thoughts from the day swirled together to create an alternate reality conjured up by her mind. There was a long stretch of natural beach, and a light drizzle of rain at sunset. She was walking on the beach with her fingers intertwined with another person's. He was tall with long, metallic, silver hair. His eyes were large and had aqua-colored irises, and his smile–so sweet. Those aqua eyes with the hints of fun and mischief could capture her just with a single glance and keep her his prisoner. The two were walking down the coastline just as the rain began to fall from the twilight sky. They shot off to the boardwalk for some form of shelter. When they got there she stumbled down into the sand and pulled him down with her. Her hands locked behind his neck and their foreheads touched. Suddenly he had his arms around her waist and he pulled her to his body as he fell backwards into the sand. Her bright blue eyes were gazing into his and her long locks of blonde hair touched his face. He gave her that mind-melting smile and then Namine and Riku found themselves kissing passionately in the sand even after the rain had stopped.

In reality she was sitting beside him underneath a tree by a pond in the woods that they had found while walking together. He desperately wished to pull her closer to him, to take that girl in his arms and just hold her there. Talk to her. Kiss her. He just wanted her so much. He wanted to be her shoulder to cry on, the person she could be open to. He wanted to be her best friend. She dreamt about the same thing–just to be with him. She moved herself closer to him and laid her head on his shoulder. He flinched.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Riku." she said.

"No go ahead. I don't mind."

A few minutes later his hand touched hers, much to her surprise. Instinctively she pulled back and looked at him. His eyes had widened a little.

"You know what? I'm done." she said boldly. Riku looked at her as if he had done something wrong. "I'm done hiding that I just want to be with you. Stupid, right? I mean you probably don't even–" His hand was on her chin and his lips were on hers, pressing just enough to get his message through. Namine's heart was beating against her chest, so hard it felt as if it were going to fly out.

As they broke away she couldn't stop looking at him. She knew she was blushing. She knew that she should feel really awkward right now, but all she could do was look at him and smile.

"Riku,"

"Listen, I want to be with you too. It isn't stupid that we want to be with each other. What's stupid is that neither of us told the other." he said.

"Well than let's start now. Let's just lay here and dream until it gets dark."

"I'd love to."

He laid down on the ground below the bronze-leaved tree, and she laid her head onto his chest and closed her eyes. His arms wrapped around her in the perfect place that made her feel like she was dreaming about being with him again. It was so warm, so right, being with the silver-haired boy in this place under the tree. He felt that the evening had been completed with her laying there on his chest. He listened to the sounds of her voice as she whispered quietly to him. She poured her wants in life, her secrets to him. Neither of them could think of a better way to spend their night than with the other, and the pair drifted to sleep beneath the inky sky sprinkled with stars.
