When I see the moon, I think of you
It does not matter where I am
Even if it's just a glance
It reminds me of you.
Its cool calm composure
Its beauty as it looks down on earth
Its icy look at first glance
Its warm, comforting gaze
once you get past its outside mask
The moon reminds me of you;
I cannot compare you with anything else
Yet, it cannot do you justice.
It cannot show the inside struggle you have
It cannot show your life changing past
It cannot capture your rare smiles
It cannot even begin to capture your eyes
But in many ways you are the moon
You my light during the night
You are the hidden treasure of the universe
And you are too far out of my reach.
I can never reach you
I can never hold you
But I sit back
Watching
Waiting
Wanting you
