The Party!
"Lily come on were going to be late." Shouted Lily's mom.
"Mom I don't even see why we're going in the first place, I'd rather be boarding with Joey then go to some dumb party with a boy I don't know." Lily pouted.

This was the typical attitude for Lily. She had gorgeous long auburn hair that flowed down her back. As was known in her neighborhood Lily was a tomboy always boarding with her best friend Joey, at least when she was home. You see what most people did not know about Lily was, she is a witch. In fact all year round except holiday's Lily attended a school for the magically gifted called the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

This party was a very important event for Lily's parents though she did not know why; and of course Lily was getting dragged to it.
"Fine if you really want to then invite Joey to go, but he has to wear a Tux and you are still going with James, do I make myself clear?" Shouted Rose, Lily's mother.
"Yes Mum thank you!" Lily then proceeded to run upstairs to call Joey.
"Hello?" Answered Mrs. Johnson. A short women who was always so kind to Lily.
"Hello Mrs. L., its Lily is Joey there?"
"Ah yes hello Lily dear, one second sweetie I'll hand the phone over to Joey." She passed the phone onto Joey.
"Hey Lil!" Joey said. Joey was also 18, he unlike like Lily was a Muggle (non-wizard), though he knew all about where Lily went to school.
"Hey I was wondering if you were doing anything tonight?" Lily said crossing her fingers, this party seemed like a real snoozer and she was hoping not to spend the evening with strangers.
"No, just planned on sitting around, maybe go boarding why what's up?" 'Yes!' Lily screamed in her head!
"Sweet! Do you want to go to a party with my parents and I?"
"Would I have to wear a Tux?" He said sounding like he dreaded the idea.
"Um... My mum said you did." Lily said hoping he wouldn't back down just because of one little detail.
"Ok I'll be there in 10 minutes, let me go fish out the old suit."
"Thank you, thank you! I can't tell you how much this means you're saving me from a night of boredom."

It took Joey exactly ten minutes to get ready and she was impressed. They were soon on their way to what seemed was going to be a dull night.

The Evans pulled up to a long driveway, which lead an amazing mansion. Never being to the Potters before the Evans had no idea at how rich they were. It was now apparent they were very wealthy. The Mansion was gorgeous in every way possible the architecture was amazing as well as the gardens surrounding it.
"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Evans" Said Essie the Potters house elf, Essie lead the Evans to the Ballroom where the party was taking place.
"Thank you, Essie!" Said Mr. Evans.
Meanwhile met James Potter, 20 years old had graduated from Hogwarts just a few years before. He of course was also forced into coming to this party considering it was his parents hosting it. The rest of his gang Marauders which consisted of Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were reminiscing about their days at Hogwarts.
"Do you remember that time we put dung bombs in old Slughorn's desk?" Sirius asked James. James was about to answer when he spotted who walked in the doors.

"Would you like to dance Lils?" Asked Joey. It seemed like the right thing to do considering everyone else in the room had begun to dance.

"I'm not very good but sure." As they danced together James followed the couple with his eyes felt a strong pull towards the girl, he felt like he needed to meet her. After the song ended Lily's parents asked her to come over to them.
"Lily this is James Potter, James this is our daughter Lily." Said Mr. Evans.
"Nice to meet you Lily!" James said kissing her hand as he slightly bowed. Lily found this a bit add but figured his behavior was due to the fact he practically lived in a place. "Care to dance?" James asked still holding out her hand.
"As I told my friend Joey I'm not very good but yes I'd love to!" She replied taking his hand. He led her to the dance floor and took her in his arms. She put her arms around his neck and they swayed back and forth.
"You seem to be pretty good." Exclaimed James "No, trust me I'm horrible." She laughed.
The couple continued to talk for what seemed like forever, just laughing and sharing stories. Until Joey had interrupted.

"Lily your parent's would like to see you." Joey had stated. "Okay, oh Joey this is James, James this is my best friend Joey." Lily introduced the boys.
"Nice to meet you!" Said James shaking his hand.

Lily went over to her parents who looked excited yet worried at the same time. "Lily dear we have some news we need to tell you. " Lily's Father had started out.

"Yes Lily darling, you remember us telling you this party was a very important even and that is why you had to come." Sad Lily's mother. Lily didn't know what was going on so she just nodded in reply. "Well Lily we have an announcement to make." They had paused looking at each other again, it seemed like they did not know how to tell Lily the news. Lily's mother proceeded to talk. "Lily the reason this party was so important is, there is going to be an announcement made. You're Engaged sweetie!"
