That girl walked across the boardwalk, looking as if she didn't have a care in the world. Her hair toppled over her shoulders, probably wavy from the windy day it had been. The sun beat down on the girl; but you would've never known that it was a hundred degrees outside because of the cool appearance that she brought forth. She wore a navy tank top with khaki shorts, only covering what was necessary. Her flip flops slapped the wooden boards of the boardwalk as she began to walk farther and farther away. The sound began to fade as her image grew smaller with every few steps. The two guys he was with were laughing at her, for what reason, he wasn't sure of. He made up an excuse for having to go, shaking hands with the two he had met there. He walked away, trying not to look too eager to be getting away from them. That girl seemed to have disappeared as quickly as she had appeared. Seagulls flew overhead; fighting in midair over God knows what. He tried not to think about anything but that girl he had seen earlier. She had been stuck in his head ever since she first walked by. And he wanted her to stay that way. A man was selling ice cream on the side of the boardwalk and he stopped to get a cone. He almost immediately regretted it as it already began to melt and slide down into the palm of his hand and down his arm. Napkins were what he had forgotten to ask that stupid man for. Damn, he thought. He chucked the remainder of his ice cream cone in a nearby trash can and strode over to a tiny café that looked out at the waves. He grabbed a wad of napkins and began to clean up the mess on his hands and arm. Suddenly there was a hand touching his shirt, dabbing at a glob of vanilla that had fallen on it. A feminine hand. A girl hand. Her nails were hot pink, holding onto the dainty cloth in her hand. He looked up to meet stunningly hazel eyes. His breath caught in his chest and he tried to speak.
"T-Thank you. What's your name, love?" He stuttered, grimacing at the overused words that escaped his lips.
"Quinn Fabray." She said softly, a sweet smile appearing on her lips. And with that last action, Sebastian Smythe was no longer that boy. The one that all the girls wanted and all the guys wanted to be friends with. Now, he was just another boy who craved the love of that girl named Quinn Fabray.
