You Play With Fire (and You Get Burned)

I never wanted you to go/But I'll wake up and wait there for you/I'll wait there for you

-Anna Freud, The National

"Bella?"

Silence.

"Bella, please, I know you're awake."

"What do you want, Andie? I thought you'd left me. Us."

Your face feels hot as you try to hold back tears. "I came back."

"Mother will never allow you to stay. Father will kick you out."

"But you won't. Please. Bella."

She turns on the lamp next to her bed, and you see her. She is sitting on the edge of the bed, looking out the window—almost as if she was waiting for you. Her slender hand reaches out to you, and you drop your bag and take it. As you climb onto the bed next to her, she reaches around you to turn out the light again.

"Andie, who do you love more? Me or your Mudblood?"

"Don't call him that, Bella," you say, and you are reminded of why you left in the first place.

"Who do you love more?" she asks again. You can feel her climbing over you and you can barely see her face just centimetres from yours in the moonlight.

"I love you equally."

"Oh, Andie. I'm offended. That's the wrong answer." She presses her lips to yours and you don't resist—resisting Bella is a bad idea. But you can't exactly say that you don't like it, either. You've only been with Bella for a couple months now but already she is the reason you came back. The reason you couldn't stand to leave this place.

"What about now, Andromeda?" she asks, grinning. "Who do you love more now? The person who's in front of you? Or the Mudblood," she sneered. "The Mudblood who won't even stand up to your family?"

You want to defend him, but with Bella in front of you dangling her love above the fire, you're more afraid of losing her. "I love you more, Bella."

"Of course you do." She kisses your lips again and you can feel her hands in your hair. "Andromeda loves Bellatrix," she whispers.

"Do you love me, Bella?"

She stops kissing you. "Yes. Don't question me, Andie. I don't like it when people question me. I won't love you if you bother me."

You nod quickly and get underneath the covers. She gets in beside you. Your parents will probably find you in the morning, but for now, you're going to take all the time you can to be with Bella, because she's your Bella, and you're not going to let her go without a fight.

"Look," Bella says, pointing out the window. "It's raining down fire, Andie."

It's a comet. "A firestorm," you say. "How fitting."

"We're on fire, Andie." She laughs. "We are an explosion waiting to happen."

You know she's right, but you don't care.

As her hand snakes around yours and draws you close to her as you knew it would inevitably do, you feel her flames flicker around you and singe your skin. You don't care. You still don't care. Tomorrow, you will go to Ted. Now, you will be with Bella. You like to play with fire, even if it burns you.

A/N: This is for the lovely Gamma Orionis, because she's absolute perfection. This is slightly based off of our conversations in Black Cabin. Gamma, I hope you enjoy it :3

Also for the If You Dare Challenge using the prompt Firestorm.

If you would review, I would seriously appreciate it forever.
