Ash was walking to the docks after saving Alto Mare from Team Rocket looking at the ground thinking of Latias but wondering why he was thinking of her. Brock walked up to Ash and put his hand on Ash's shoulder. "What's wrong Ash you seem down" said Brock.
Ash looked at Brock with a clearly fake smile. "Nothing's wrong Brock I'm just thinking about Latias and don't know why" said Ash.
Brock just smiled. "Looks like your in love with Latias Ash. But don't worry if you like her tell her before we leave" said Brock.
"Really Brock you think I love Latias?" Asked Ash.
"Yes Ash it isn't hard to tell you have feelings for her as you have been down since we left her and well you should go to her and tell her your feelings maybe she would like to travel with you" said Brock.
"You really think so I hope you are right" said Ash as he ran back to the secret garden from the docks. As he entered he called out. "Latias" he got no response. "Latias please I need to see you" he called out and finally she flew to his side. Ash wrapped his arms around her in a hug and started crying. "I... I love you Latias and I would love it if you came with me on my journey but I understand if you don't feel the same" said Ash through his tears.
"Y-you love m-me Ash I-I thought that you could never feel the same way I feel for you" said Latias.
"You kidding I love you more then you know Latias" said Ash as he leaned in to kiss her.
"Ash I would love to travel with you I don't know if Bianca would allow it though" said Latias.
Just as Latias said that Bianca walked in. "Wouldn't allow what?" Asked Bianca.
Latias looked down and blushed. "Wouldn't allow me to go with Ash" said Latias.
"Of course you can go with him as long as he takes good care of you and before you ask I knew you had feelings for him from the moment you protected him from your brother" said Bianca.
Latias then tackled Bianca in a hug while saying thank you over and over before going up to Ash and putting her arms around his and they headed back to where Ash left Brock and decided to explain to Brock and Misty that she can talk but was just too shy to because of how she felt about Ash and that she didn't know how the others would react.
Once they arrived at the docks they saw Misty looking their way shocked at what she was looking at earning a giggle from Latias. "Oh Misty no need to be jealous of me after all no one could love Ash as much as I do" said Latias.
