Hey guys! Another part of Not Orlando, but Not Uganda to come later in the story! Please read and enjoy! (Review too!) Love you all!
I set the form gently down on the table.
"What's that piece of paper, Elder Price?"
I reply calmly, "Oh, nothing. Just the LDS Church Member release document."
Elder McKinley's eyes go wide, and his jaw drops slightly. "Wha…what?"
"Yeah," I say, trying to keep the steadiness in my voice. "As soon as I sign this document, I am no longer a Mormon Elder. I can then choose any religion I want. And that would be," I look at Mary and squeeze her hand, "Catholicism."
Both Elder McKinley and Elder Thomas look shocked. "But…but Elder Price," says Elder Thomas cautiously, "why do you want to be a Catholic?"
I look directly at Elder McKinley, whose face has contorted into pure rage. "Because, Elder Thomas, I'm frankly sick and tired of the way some people behave in this religion. Besides, it's for personal reasons, too." Mary touches my arm, still squeezing my hand.
Elder McKinley takes a step toward us, with desperation in his voice. "You can't do this to me, Kevin."
"Yes, I can, Connor." Mary lets go of my arm and steps back away from Elder McKinley. I take a pen out of my pocket and bend down to sign the release form, but not before I hear a small click of a bullet falling into a chamber.
I look up at both the other Elders, and I feel like screaming. Because Elder McKinley is holding a small pistol up to the side of Elder Thomas's head.
Elder Thomas drops down to his knees, his hands slowly raising above his head. Tears of sheer fright well up in his eyes. But Elder McKinley's eyes are full of violent evil, his smile wide and terrifying. His eyes slowly travel up to meet mine.
"If you put even one drop of ink on that paper, Kevin Price, I swear to God I will pull this trigger."
How did I do? Review please! Thanks guys!
