Okay, so I don't usually write peotry, but durng a LeFont (The Writers Guild) meeting the challenge was to write a thought based poem, so obviously I used something from NUMB3RS. Everyone was absolutly shocked. Anyway, I figured that I'd post it because I'd really like some honest feedback and not just 'it's good', which is what I got from my friend. So please, let me know what you think because, like I said, I don't do much poetry and I'd really like to know what other people think.
Hopeless
A dangerous game
Crimes against my country
A fight for my life
Deceit and betrayal
A secret war
An ironic twist
The betrayed
The corrupter
Both hunting me
A web of lies
I can't escape
Crimes I didn't commit
Promises I never broke
But no one knows
Not that anyone
Would believe me anyway
I'm a spy
A traitor
No one can save me
Not anymore
It's too late
I'm in too deep
Death is coming
An infamous traitor
A secret hero
No one will hear my story
I will die
A silent death
Alone
In pain
A silent death
I will not break
He knows
I won't tell him
So he decides
I won't tell anyone
A stab in the heart
Fireworks
Exploding all around me
I slip down
Into darkness
A sudden rush of noise
Someone screaming
Seems familiar
I can't understand them
Blinding pain
Something is hitting me
Again and again
The pain is too much
I fall back into the abyss
Let nothingness
Reclaim my mind
Maybe I'm not so forgotten
Maybe there's hope
