It was almost unbearable

It was almost unbearable. Her beautiful eyes glistening as the singular tear fell from her eye. She wiped it away quickly with the back of her hand. She didn't want him to see her sad; no, he should leave to continue with her smiling, happy face looking at him. Said boy turned around, and his crystal blue eyes, a different shade then her seemingly purple eyes, smiled at her. Those eyes and that smile….

God…

They always had made her melt. Even as little kids, that was the first thing she had noticed about him. She brushed a lock of crimson hair away from her face as the islands she remembered grew around her. She blinked for a moment as the hearts of everything o the islands floated down, and birthed into the oh-so familiar surroundings she had loved and then grew to despise as she grew older. She turned around slowly, wanting to take the islands rebirth and etch it permanently into her mind. Running a hand over the stone wall that led to their secret place, a place where the three of them had drawn and played for hours on end…where just the two of them had etched the other's image into the rock. Already, her memory was fading, and she could just barely remember his name, but she knew that her heart ached for his presence, for his goofy smile and the laughter that always accompanied him where ever they went.

She crawled into the opening, wincing as the rocks and tree roots scraped at her pale flesh. But it didn't stop her from wondering into the cave area. As always, it was covered with the drawings of two boys and a girl; that much was obvious from the random demons and flowers that littered the area. She turned to the strange wooden door, and let out a strangled gasp.

She covered her mouth with her hands as she fell to her knees. Tears poured form her eyes, unable to stop them any longer. She ran a hand over the carvings, and the small addition she remembered not being there before…

The boy, giving a papou fruit to the girl. Crying more forcefully, her head began to pound, and her heart ached even more. In her happiness mixed with despair, she clawed around her for a rock or something, anything to draw with. She wanted, no needed to do this while his memory as still fresh in her mind, for she felt that for some reason, he would be leaving her alone… She mercilessly scratched at the rock, and after a few minutes, she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and let out a strangled sound.

She was giving him a papou fruit as well now. Their destinies forever entwined.

"Sora…" She cried miserably.

I love you, and I'll always wait for you…

Yea, it's done. The second in Through My Eyes.

Hope you like it.
