Clary and her best friend, Simon was on their way to the local skating rink. It was their tradition to go there every Friday. They thought of it in seventh grade. Now they were in eleventh grade. When they got there they got their skates and began skating slower than everyone else. Clary grabbed Simon's hand and pulled him along going faster.
After about forty- five minutes, Clary went to get her and Simon drinks when she saw something that was completely jaw dropping. Her boyfriend, Carson was sucking face with Kaelie - which was pretty bad because Kaelie was as dumb and plastic as they get. The fact that Carson would cheat on her with a Barbie doll enraged Clary. She threw the drinks to the ground, walked over and shoved Kaelie away from Carson. She fell right on her fake plastic butt. Then with all her strength she slapped Carson across the face leaving an angry red mark behind. "We. Are. THROUGH! "She yelled. She started to walk away but turned around and kneed Carson in his manhood. He grunted in pain and fell to the floor. "That my friend was for the drinks. "She said calmly. Then she turned and walked away with teary eyes. When she got back to Simon he hadn't noticed her face. "What the heck Clary? Where were you? And where are the drinks? "He said angrily. "Simon… I saw Carson m-making out w-with K-kaelie. " Clary sobbed. Simon's expression softened. "Oh my god! Fray where is he? "Simon yelled. "Si, it doesn't matter let's just go home." Clary said. "Fine but he is still gonna get. " Simon said.
The ride home was peaceful. Clary tried to forget about Carson and Kaelie, but she couldn't so the tears kept coming. Before Simon could even stop the van, Clary already out and sprinting up the steps. "Well bye then." Simon muttered.
Inside, Clary took a long, hot shower and then collapsed on her bed even though she was starving. She just lay there staring at the ceiling. She couldn't control the sobs that shook her tiny frame. After a while the sobs turned to silent tears that trailed down her face. Eventually she fell into a dreamless sleep, completely oblivious to the fact that someone not too far away from her was suffering a fate far worse than she was.
