"Doctor!" She was running again. She could feel his hand in hers.
"Doctor!" She yelled again, trying to get his attention but he wouldn't turn around. All she could see was the back of his head, his hair sticking up towards the front. The hair.
She was standing in the TARDIS now. He was fiddling with the controls, jabbering on about a new planet she was going to see.
"Doctor." She whispered. He didn't hear her. He didn't turn around. He just kept talking. Always talking.
"Doctor." She was standing alone now on the beach of BadWolf Bay. A tear rolled down her face. "Doctor." She whispered to herself and wiped away the tear.
"DOCTOR!" She screamed. "DOCTOR!"
"I'm here." She whirled around and there he was. She started running. An awful lot of running. He smiled. He smiled, that beautiful crooked smile that lit up the whole world. The whole universe.
"Doctor." She breathed. "My Doctor." She held out her hand as she got closer.
He disappeared.
"Doctor?" She spun in a circle. He was nowhere. "Doctor. No! Not again! You can't leave me like this! DOCTOR!" She crumpled on the beach, hugging herself because he wasn't there to. "Doctor…please. Why won't you stay?" She closed her eyes.
"I'm here."
"Doctor?"
"I'm here."
She opened her eyes. She was tangled in her bed sheets, an arm was wrapping itself around her. "Doctor."
"I'm right here." She looked up and there was her Doctor. Her very own Doctor. He stared at her with such a look of worry that her heart ached. She lay her head on his chest and heard his heartbeat. Just one heartbeat. But it was the most comforting sound in the universe. "I'll always be here." He held her a little tighter, making sure she knew. She nodded, weakly. "Those dreams again?" She nodded again. They sat in silence for a few moments. "You know what would be fantastic? Breakfast. A good hearty breakfast. With bananas. Banana pancakes!" He looked down at her and smiled. "Allons-y?" He whispered.
She looked up at him and smiled too. "Yeah, allons-y."
