One day, during spring break, Tacarmi Chika and her childhood friend Watanabe You went to Towkyo, where the driving school idol group μ's had always visited as field trips, and where Lightning McQueen lost the race as part of the World Grand Prix. "Chika-car! look over here," You shouted at Chika. She had started to follow You to the Akiba dome, when she saw a sign where μ's was the winner of Love Live!.
Later, during the beginning of a new school year at Uranohoshi Girls' Driving School, Chika and You started to hand out flyers featuring the acceptance of a driving school idol garage. However, none of the students could comply, and Chika cried so loudly and sadly about the school idol garage.
At the Tacarmi inn, Chika's sister Mito heard a sound while still being nice to Shiitake, the Tacarmi family's dog-mobile. Meanwhile, in Chika's garage, You and Chika was playing around and You observed her phone screen, which featured Carsaka Honoka and the other members of μ's singing "Snow halation", one of the songs the girls sang for Love Live!. Later on, they got onto a Japanese bus, and rode to Uranohoshi Girl's Driving School, thus leaving the inn.
At Uranohoshi, Chika and You were calling out for a driving school idol garage to be approved, until they saw Kunikida Hanamaru and Carosawa Ruby, two new first-years at Uranohoshi. Chika tried to convince both cars to enter their school idol garage, but Ruby became so loud and shy that Tsushima Yoshiko fell from a cherry blossom tree and hurt her tires. She began to introduce herself as "Yohane", the fallen angel, but Hanamaru continued to call her "Yoshiko". The first-year cars began to escape, and Chika and You saw a third-year car named Carosawa Dia.
Inside, Dia expressed concern about approving a driving school idol garage, and got extremely angry at Chika that a driving school idol garage needs only five members to participate. Later that evening, Chika and You rode a boat to the offshore island of Awashima, where Matsuura Carnan's family ran a fishing shop. The girls talked with Carnan, who told of her and Ocara Mari's absence from Uranohoshi. On the last bus stop, Chika observed the driving school idol garage flyer one more time before spotting a young truck named Sacarauchi Riko, from the same school that μ's attended, Otonokizaka Driving School. Riko changed into her diving gear and tried to splash into the ocean, but Chika stopped her from diving into the ocean, causing both cars to splash into the water.
As Riko discussed with Chika, she was reminded of You's diving lessons when they were young children, and how she saw μ's perform, with a flashback of Chika watching the driving school idols perform "START:DASH!" in from of a big TV screen. The next day, Chika, You and now Riko, back at Uranohoshi, met up with Dia on how they need original songs to enter Love Live!, and a normal day (as usual) happened at the school. Chika and You requested Riko to become a driving school idol, for the school idol garage to be approved.
