Calleigh slowly made her way up to Horatio`s office to talk to him. She was a little nervous as to what he was going to say but she had to do it. She made her way to his door and knocked lightly. Horatio looked up and smiled.
"Hey Sweetheart, something wrong?"
Calleigh closed his door before turning back to him, making her way over to the chair in front of him."
"Actually Handsome I was wondering if I would be able to take a leave of absence… with the stress that Eric has put me through I need a break. I feel like I just need some time to clear my head."
Horatio nodded looking down to his file in front of him. "If that's what you need Sweetheart than take it, it's yours."
"You sure you`ll be alright without me?" She whispered
"I…I just want you to get all the time you need Sweetheart. I want you to come back feeling better and happier than ever."
"I`ll just take two weeks leave time Handsome. I think being away will do me some good. I`ll go visit my family in Louisiana. But I`ll…I`ll miss you." Whispering those last words
"Take all the time you need Sweetheart…I`ll miss you too."
Horatio stood and made his way around to Calleigh. She stood and Horatio took her into his arms and held her. God she thought, it felt wonderful to be held in his arms. The man she`s secretly loved all these years. "Come back safe to me Calleigh." He said placing a soft kiss on her cheek close to her lips. Her body instantly turned to jelly by his small gesture. "I will Handsome I promise." She said leaning up to place a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thank you." She whispered
"Call me when you get there okay? And whenever you need to talk, you can call me or text me at any time okay Sweetheart?"
Calleigh smiled and nodded "I will I promise. You are the only man to never let me down Handsome." With that she turned and walked out of his office.
