Title: On Opposite Sides
Author: Snape no Koibito
Rating: PG for imagery
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Category: Poem
Feedback: Yes! Tell me how talented and delusional I am!
Archive: *bats eyes innocently at Nezad and pouts* The Lair of Azkaban, if they'll have me. And at FF.n under Snape no Koibito, of course. Anywhere else, drop a line.
Author's Note: This was written after listening to WAAY too much Limp Biscuit… more specifically, "Rearranged". Great song. Harry/Draco fic, anyone? *cackles evilly and wanders off to torture her muses* Though now that I think about it… it does seem more Harry/Draco, doesn't it? Oh well! Still S/R!
Disclaimer: I WROTE IT!!!!!!!!! MINE! (Although, if anyone wants to do a ficlet to it, by all means, go right ahead. I'd be flattered.)
Summary: My thoughts in song format on what was going through Remus' head the night Sirius was sent to Azkaban.
On Opposite Sides
And original poem/song by the ever-so-talented Snape no Koibito
What you've done for me
I cannot say
I don't know where we're headed
Seems like yesterday
We thought we'd never part
But here we are
On opposite sides of the ocean
Two storm fronts merging
Causing a hurricane
Because we don't know
What we're doing and where we've been
I thought I knew you
My lover my friend
But I guess I was wrong
So why'd you stick the knife in my back
Maybe you should twist it too
Why do we argue
Why must we fight
I can bear any more
I'm leaving tonight
So here we are
On opposite side of the moon
Like two laser beams meeting
One has to die
If we knew where we were
It would be easy
But it's not
So why bother to cry
I trusted you, my better half
To see me through my life and death
When I look back, I have to laugh
Such foolish children as ourselves
Have always been – will always be
Weaker than society
So here we are
On opposite sides of the road
With our guns, bullets we unload
Into the hearts of each other and those around us
We're such fools to have fallen in love
So here we are
On opposite sides of the ocean
Two storm fronts merging
Causing a hurricane
Because we don't know
What we're doing and where we've been
