I Am
A monologue for my made up InuYasha character

InuMaru: (Walks over to InuYasha) "InuYasha are you done messing around with this human girl yet? We need to find those shards." (Turns to Kagome) "Who am I? Why I'm InuMaru, InuYasha's twin sister…and you are? Kagome huh, you look like that priestess Kikyou…strange." (Turns back to InuYasha) Can we go now brother?" (Turns and listens to Kagome) Why am I in a hurry? Wow such a question. It all has to do with a promise. InuYasha said that once he became a full demon the he'd destroy THAT village." (Looks at Kagome thoughtfully) "Well THAT village was the place where I was sent after our mother died. I was placed in a house where they used and abused me and my friends Hitari, but that's not why InuYasha's going to destroy it, those bastards killed Hitari and every day orphaned half demon and human children are sent to that horrible place. I'd do it myself but my brothers Sesshomaru and InuYasha said that if there were going to be any killing they'd be the ones doing it." (Eyes open wide) "You want to hear what happened?" (Looks at InuYasha) "Well it happened like this, Hitari and I were sitting in a field of flowers making the final preparations for our escape. The plan was that I would sneak out when the moon was at its highest point, then I would go through the garden to the back of the village where Sesshomaru would be waiting for me, then Sesshomaru would go get Hitari." (Hears InuYasha laugh and glares at him) "Yes Sesshomaru was going to do that, he was doing it just for me. Well any ways one of the masters of the house caught us, we tried to run but it was hopeless, that filthy bastard killed Hitari right on the spot and if Sesshomaru hadn't been looking around I would have been dead too. Sesshomaru killed the guy before he could even move. So that's that, Sesshomaru and I traveled around for about five years or so, then he left me with InuYasha." (Sighs) "Kagome you probably got the impression that I hate humans right? Well I do especially adults and bulling children who prey on the weak. Oh and never forget I despise Lady Kikyou and those reasons are my own." (Turns and Listens to InuYasha's question) "Well for those five years, we traveled around killing demons who got in our way…all of it was to get me stronger oh and we found my staff Yashasessho." (Holds up a braided staff) This is a magical staff is made from my fathers hair." (Thinks) "Oh and we played a game of "can you kill me" with some demon hunters. There was this one and she had this giant boomerang thing, boy was she tough." (Thinks some more) "Oh and I played some misgivous tricks on a perverted monk with sacred beads on his right hand." (Thinks again) "Oh and of course in the attempt in getting me stronger Sesshomaru left me in the care of a wolf demon named Kouga." (Looks over at InuYasha) "Don't worry Kouga was very nice and taught me a lot. Sesshomaru said that in his own words mind you "if that stupid half demon brother of mine doesn't take good care of you then you'll be able to survive on your own." (Smiles to Kagome, then grins to InuYasha) "I told you that he said it not me. So human…I mean Kagome does that satisfy your curiosity long enough for you to leave me and my brother alone so we can go find the jewel shards?" (Listens to InuYasha) "Oh well that changes everything." (Sighs) "Since you're the only one who can sense where the shards are I guess you have to tag along." (They begin to walk) "Stupid humans, always getting in the way of demon fun."
