Kim Possible: Issues
By LJ58
He shook his head as he stared at the monitor, listening to Kim Possible's latest exploits.
Her humble declarations that dismissed yet another virtually miraculous mission.
She made it seem so easy at times. Ridiculously easy.
'No big,' she always said.
He sighed, and shook his head again.
She seemed to be ready to go anywhere, or try anything, so long as it was in service to someone genuinely needing help. Whether it was a lost child, a wounded animal, or even a nation in trouble.
Size, importance, or politics didn't matter to Kimberly Anne Possible, one of the few genuine heroines in the world.
He remembered when he first met her.
He had been stunned.
Bowled over was how some people would have described it.
He didn't let on, though.
He tried to play it cool.
He tried to be nonchalant. Tried to earn her respect. Show her how good he was, too.
She didn't bat an eye.
If anything, things got…..uncomfortable fast.
Worse, she ended up saving him on several occasions when he was supposed to be the superior, and more experienced field agent.
Yet he was constantly shown up at virtually encounter.
He couldn't help but sigh over that one.
Ironically, while he still felt they were a perfect match, she still ran off with that bumbling boy that turned out to have more power than brains. Power he barely managed to harness at times. Yet his unbelievable luck kept him both alive, and at Kim Possible's side.
Still, the fiery-haired Valkyrie, which was how he viewed her, could do so much better.
He supposed he could just confront her. Tell her the truth. Tell her his own feelings.
He just couldn't do that, though.
Rules and regulations aside, Will Du was above such pedantic displays.
So he would just wait, and hope that maybe someday he might finally earn her genuine respect. Or more.
He looked up as someone shoved through the door of his office, and shouted, "Will, Dr. Director needs two strike teams in play now to help cut off Dementor's rogue hounds. It looks like that moron is trying to overrun the city with giant Dachshunds to distract us from his real play."
"Is Possible….?"
"She's already on it. We're on the rodeo," the agent shouted, and ran off.
Will stood up, and grimly secured his weapon before he checked his personal equipment.
Perhaps this time, he mused to himself before following his coworker out to the waiting transport.
End…..?
