Chapter One
There were no two ways around it he was in love, though he would never admit that to her. As Inuyasha watched Kagome from the tree he was stationed in, he knew that his feelings would not change. It was just a normal day in feudal Japan but Inuyasha already knew something was going to be different. He could smell it in the air. Then he looked down from the tree he was sitting in and thought to himself 'no it's just Kagome's precious scent.'
"Inuyasha I'm finished we can head back to the hut" came a gentle voice from below him.
"Feh, bout time wench" came the reply but the demon stayed in the tree.
"Inuyasha come down and come back to the hut."
"No!"
"Inuyasha," came a sweet voice 'this can't be good' he thought, "SIT"
As he fell from the tree he thought to himself that he was wrong this day was turning out to be like every other day for the past four years.

With Kouga In His Cave
As Kouga sat there, he thought about Kagome. He had the two shards in his legs and now that Naraku was dead Kagome and Inutrasha had the rest of the shikon no tama.
He finally made up his mind. He would go see Kagome today and make her his mate. He would get her away from that half-breed because he knew that the mutt could not keep her safe if her mate-to-be was not there to protect her. Therefore, without a work to his pack the wolf prince went out in search of Kagome.
