Chapter One
Her eyes tightened as her muscles locked. She wouldn't, couldn't scream. She didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing her in pain. It was a weakness that she couldn't afford; at least in front of him.
"I said kneel girl!" at his sharp demand the pain flowing through her body increased in magnitude. Her eyes burned; sweat beading on her brow as she struggled to keep her cool façade.
"I will never bow to the likes of you!" she spat venomously breaking the silence she kept from the moment she been caught. Twelve months ago she believed if she remembered correctly. They'd kept her in a cell under Riddle manor for at least a year. Through sheer defiance, courage and will power she'd managed to remain alive. She wasn't scared to die, in fact in that moment she would openly welcome it. But they wouldn't kill her, they couldn't. The Dark Lord deemed her too valuable simply kill off when he got bored. She was too powerful and that made her a valuable asset if he could get her to conform. She would never conform. She'd die before she ever raised her wand for such a wizard.
His loud crazed laugh echoed around the room suddenly at her words pulling her sharply from her thoughts regaining her attention.
"One day you will bow before me and I look forward to that day" An almost feral snarl came from her throat as she took in his word.
"NEVER" She roared her once brown eyes slowly fading to black as her anger fuelled her hatred for the vile man in front of her. The death eaters gathered around the edges of the room flinched at her sudden outburst backing further into the wall as a result. Each of them held a slight fear of the small woman in the centre of the room. She could and would for certain kill them all if she were to escape her restraints.
