"Tonight was amazing." Santana murmured. It was the night after prom, and even though she was exhausted, she got to spend the night with her beautiful girlfriend Brittany, and she didn't want to waste a second of it because soon Santana would be off to college, and Brittney would be stuck here.

No. Santana mentally scolded herself. She had promised that tonight she wasn't going to worry about the future, or about being without Brittany. Tonight she was just going to enjoy her presence for as long as possible.

"It was." Brittany agreed. "Hold on, I have to go to the bathroom, and you know how long it takes me to figure out how to flush."

Santana laughed and rolled her eyes as Brittany got up from the bed and walked in the hall. She moved her eyes around Brittney's room, her eyes landing on a strip of photo booth pictures of Brittany and herself hanging around the edge of a mirror, and then in the mirror it's self.

Her dark hair was messy, her lips blotted, and she was in pajamas, but she remembered exactly what she looked like merely eight hours ago for prom. Her hair had been in perfect ringlets, her lips a bright, glossy red, and she had had on a strapless navy blue satin dress that had hugged and curved to her body in all the right places.

And Brittany… wow. She had worn a swingy black dress with a white bowtie and a tiny top hat pin in her curly blonde up-do. She was the most beautiful girl Santana had ever seen, for sure.

Of course, that wasn't even the best part of the night.

"I'm back prom queen." Brittany said, falling onto the bed next to her.

Yes, Santana had even won prom queen. And there was nothing quite as satisfying when Figgens had murmured "Not again" under his breath, and stalked away from the podium, leaving Brittany come up to take the second crown.

They danced together, hands clasped, "Lucky Ones" by Lana Del Rey playing softly, and Santana didn't even care in that moment. She leaned up and kissed her girlfriend even though everyone was watching. She wanted everyone to watch. She wanted everyone to know how much she adored her.

Especially since Brittany would be stuck here for a year without her. With no one to protect her.

Santana shook off that thought and looked up into her girlfriend's eyes. "Are you sure your parents are alright with me staying the night with you?"

Brittany's eyes crinkled as she smiled. "Of course! They love you Santana." She leaned down to kiss her nose. "Almost as much as I love you."

Santana smiled, pulling Brittany tightly to her chest. "I want you to come with me."

"I'm totally coming with you." Brittany agreed.

"I mean now Britt. I mean forever." Santana pulled away, looking at her with sad eyes. "I don't want to be away from you, not even a year."

Brittany clasped Santana's hands. "You don't have to be."

"You have to gradate high school though. I can't ruin your future…"

Brittany put a finger to Santana's lips and shook her head. "I was going to wait till later to tell you this, but this is as good a time as any." Brittany burst into a smile. "I got accepted into the same college as you!"

Santana felt her heart swell with pride. "That's amazing! I told you that you're a genius! Now I can see you every single day in a year…"

"No." Brittany shook her head. "I'm not done." She was literally glowing with happiness. "I talked to the school board today, and they said that if I worked hard enough through the summer I'll be able to graduate with you. And go to college in the fall. With you."

Santana's breath caught in her throat. "Are you serious right now?"

"Yes!" Brittany exclaimed.

"But Brittany, that's so much work!"

"I figured you could helped me. And besides," she said, moving in to kiss Santana's lips. "You're worth extra work."

Yes. This was defiantly the best night of Santana's senior year.
