"It's just not fair!" Jasmine sobbed and sobbed. Aladdin had died and she could not be any sadder.
Later, it was October. Halloween was coming close. One of Jasmine's neighbors was throwing a party. This particular neighbor was getting married soon and was having a costume party at her house and wanted Jasmine to come.
"I guess I've been upset enough and it's time I got back out there," Jasmine said to her father.
"OK, have a goon time," her father said.
Jasmine did not feel the need to wear a costume. She just wore a white dress showing her shoulders and had her hair done normally.
The party was fun. Many people wore silly costumes. Others didn't. There was a DJ wearing a black mask and caterers wearing white makeup. Jasmine tried to dance to the music, but didn't feel totally in the mood. So she decided to walk outside on the balcony. She looked up at the sky and saw all the shining stars and the glowing moon. How the sky looked so beautiful.
"Hey," a voice called. A man wearing a white mask with only his mouth showing and a black tuxedo stepped out from inside. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing," answered Jasmine. "I am just hanging outside."
"How come you aren't dancing?" the man asked.
"I don't know," Jasmine replied.
The man took a pause and waited for the song to be over. A slow song had started. He then asked "Would you like to dance this song with me?"
Jasmine said "OK." And she started waltzing with this masked man whom she did not know. "Wow, you are a really great dancer," she said.
"Thank you, Jasmine," the man said.
"How do you know me?" Jasmine asked. "I'm just curious,"
"Who doesn't know the princess of Agrabah?" said the man. Jasmine rested her head in the man's chest while they continued to dance. When the song ended on the final held out note, the man grabbed Jasmine and pushed their lips together.
"Wow," Jasmine thought. "This kiss is really passionate!" When their lips broke apart, Jasmine said "That was wonderful! I don't even know your name."
"You'll see me sooner or later at your door," the man smiled.
Jasmine walked home and sighed as she jumped and landed on the bed to sleep. She awoke to someone knocking on her bedroom door. She yawned and walked over to the door. She opened the door to find Jafar standing in the doorway.
"Hello, Jasmine," he said.
"Hi, Jafar," Jasmine smiled.
"I see you are in a good mood," Jafar said.
"I am, actually," Jasmine said. She started dancing around the room. "I met the most romantic man at a party last night. He was wearing a mask and a tuxedo and did not mention his name. But he says he'll be at my door soon."
"That sounds… wonderful," Jafar staggered. "I'm glad you're happy." Jasmine then ran into Jafar's arms and hugged him tightly.
That night, Jasmine stood at her balcony looking out for her man. "When is he going to come?" Jasmine asked. Rajah came out and curled up next to Jasmine. Suddenly, someone came up to the palace door. "Masked man!" Jasmine called down as she waved. The masked man entered the palace and made his way up to her room. Jasmine smiled as she let him in and kissed him passionately. He was still wearing his tuxedo. Jasmine fell into a pose on her bed as the man finally took his mask off.
"Jafar!" Jasmine exclaimed. "It was you who kissed me at the party."
"Yup," Jafar said.
"Oh my gosh!" Jasmine exclaimed. "I never knew how so… so… so… incredibly romantic you were!" She got up from her pose and walked over to Jafar. She looked up at him in his eyes and said "I don't know, I think… I think I'm in love with you!"
"That's good because I love you," Jafar smiled at her and kissed her.
In the near future, Jafar and Jasmine were married. Neither could be happier.
