Angel of Mine
Warnings: Kouji's a little twisted.
Summery: Kouichi is Kouji's Godsend and Hellbringer but it's not that part about his brother that drives him to seek death's help.
Disclaimer: If you think I could possibly own Digimon you're even crazier then I am.
Even broken angels deserve to fly.
Kouji couldn't sleep anymore; the nightmares were just too much for him. He would close his eyes and there would be the blank face and vacant eyes of his elder brother staring back at him surrounded by the blinding white of the hospital. There were times when the dreams wouldn't be so bad, when he would watch as his brother's eyes regained a spark that he never remembered seeing and he would smile at him with more joy then Kouji ever recalled. Mostly though the dreams brought him no comfort, most dreams his brother would sit up with the same blank face and empty eyes and ask why.
Even sinners deserve to taste paradise.
Some nights when his brother would stay over Kouji would wake up from one of the dreams and shake his brother from his own slumber just to see him smile. His brother would curl up to him and whisper condolences and comforts to him till sleep would come again with a last vow that he would never leave Kouji's side. The dreams would return unbidden and once more he would stare into his brother's dead blue eyes and be asked why.
Even demons deserve to be loved.
Insanity began to take over his mind and Kouji knew that he must do something before it was too late. Everyone was scared for him but his brother because he knew all too well that Kouji was strong enough to save himself like he had saved him from death. Kouji had only one way of escaping the dreams forever and despite loving his brother above all others it still pained him to what he must to save him.
Even if only for a moment.
His brother had died on impact after falling thirteen floors and hitting the pavement. All around him people failed to see what he saw, to understand why he'd thrown his brother from Heaven when his wings were broken. Everyone asked his brother's own question and only he knew the answer.
"Every night Kouichi asked why I made him live."
