"Hello, my dear."

Sarah turned back in order to meet a face of voice's owner. Men's skin was shining as it was fully covered with a brocade, and the very next second it reminds of fish's scales instead.

"Who are you?" She couldn't help it but take a defender position.

"There's no need to fear." said the man in the same creepy manner. "You've praised for a miracle, haven't you? So here I am: a wonders maker, the one who could make your dreams come true. Isn't that what you've asked for, little girl?" A crystal ball appeared in his hand, dancing with his fingers when he passed it to the young maiden.

"And you'll fulfill my wish?" the girl felt confused, but didn't intend to stupidly lose such an opportunity.

"Don't be so naive, my precious." The man made an effective pause before he said, as he always do: "Magic always comes with a price."

"Who are you?" Sarah questioned again. Her green eyes were looking inside his own.

" I'm a common Rumplestilskin, no one important. But you..." Men's hand touched Sarah's neck, his fingers nervously fondled with her hairs. "You could be a queen. A lightful lady within a great palace. Or you could have the best time of your life."

"And what is the price?"

Rumplestilskin smiled to himself, the girl was learning fast.

"Your heart." He ignored her shocked sight and open mouth, ready to protest. "Your precious heart: you'll simply fall in love."

He denied to accept her silence as an answer.

"Think yourself, it's not that much, you're asking me for much more. Do we have a deal?"

Sarah was still silent. She thought about her live in a small town. About her horrible stepmother. And then she thought about all the books she had read. Could it became true, her happiness?

"Yes." she said, shortly.

Rumplestilskin smiled again, reminding her of a big toad. He won't make her fall in love. For my will is as strong as yoursNo one has such a great power. And my kingdom is as great Sarah told to herself while signing a have no power over me

What have he done wrong? Everything was as it should be. He made everything right. And still, something was working wrong. Where did he make a mistake?

He kept track of Sarah days and nights. He dropped her the book. He created all the labyrinth, the goblin city and the castle from nothing. He revived all the characters, even turned himself into the Goblin King and lived with these small, irritating creatures called goblins; all as it was written. She wanted an adventure, so he invited her. He stolen her baby brother as she asked. He was frightened as she expected him to be. And still, the contract was undo, Sarah didn't love him.

He have done everything correctly, she must have loved him. Why did she left him?

Why?

Such a disappointness.

As before, I want to apology for all grammatical mistakes. Hope it's not too bad.
